best time of day to play?

i've noticed that i make the most cash in the early evening around dinner time (Central time). late morning and afternoon is ok as well...but at night (after about 1 am) the competition seems to stiffen. has anyone else noticed this?

Depends where you live, what time of day is good. Some of the best times can be when you get people coming home drunk - if you live in the UK, that can mean finding good games first thing in the morning as you're playing against US players who are drunk. Drunk players can play very aggressively, though, so they can be harder than loose/passive players.
Lunchtime players can also be good - since they're only able to play for a limited amount of time, they want to get some action, so they'll play more hands than they would otherwise.

I agree with this. I found the best time for me to play(US central) is in the early afternoon around 3-5pm. I typically am playing against European players and they seem to be looser at this time. Not sure if they are drunk or not, but it seems to be working. But as I progress into the evening a lot of US players are getting off work and playing (presumably they haven't been drinking at work) and I find it stiffens up a bit. I am not saying Europeans are looser players than Americans, but maybe I am just hitting the late night European drinkers, I don't know...

All Europeans are drunk after 8pm(european time), its the law.........

Friday and Saturday nights (US time or Euro time, depending on where most of the players on the site you're playing on are from) are by far the best times of the week to play, no contest.

I have had my top three cash game sessions on Saturday mornings. I have no idea why, but this seems to be a great time for me. But Saturday evenings are a whole other story.

i used to work overnights 3 a.m. to 7 a.m. (us central) and i would occassionally play before work and do pretty well but if i tried to play when i got home i never had any luck. i now work in the afternoons and tend to play later at night and some afternoon sessions and do very well.

Without at doubt , the best time for me its at night time or around midnight Eastern time. I never thought of people being drunk at this time but it could be . The worst time its early in the day , not sure why .
