Battling limpers - Please evaluate hand Newbie here.... Stack 100x BB in cutoff. Pocket Q9s. Two scenarios... 1) Folded to in cutoff. Average stacks on the table. Do you Raise, Limp or Fold this hand. 2) 3 limpers in front on the cutoff. Average stacks on the table. Do you Raise, Limp or Fold this hand? Given everyones recomendation to raise or fold and eliminate limping, calls and overlimps; I have been trying the strategy BUIT i am a bit confused as to if there are multiple limpers in a pot ahead of you with a mediocre hand.

1) Raise or fold. Depends on your image and on button/blind tendencies. 2) Limp or fold. I'd probably limp. You'll miss alot but you get nice pot odds to call and nice implied odds if you hit a big draw.

1. Raise unless those left to act are very loose in calling preflop raises 2. fold/limp, pretty much a toss-up here. I'd probably fold most of the time though. Even when you do hit the flop hard you won't get paid that often, and you definitely don't have expressed odds to just hope to hit 2-pair/flush
