| Bad play with KKs? Ok. Big MTT.. I was a little below average chips.. Blinds at 30, Villain raises to 200. Hes done this 3x already now.. I call.. Flop is Qxx He raises 480 (pot size).. I reraise all in 1000.. Good play? I was trying to isolate him from an ace on the turn or river.. Cheers |

| Well if you have KK suited I'd really like to know where you're playing. Anywho, I'm not a MTT expert by any means.. but we need more info on villain. Unless you have a really rock solid read on this guy I'm going all-in preflop. If he likes to make continuation bets on the flop then yeah raise all-in on the flop there is fine. Qxx (whate are the other two cards.. suits?) really doesn't tell us much. |

But I have been burned too often on the slow play so I am biased. Maybe I am not the best person to listen to...Bitter. |

| the blinds are 30..and he raises to 200 oop..unless he's a donk he has a good hand here...now say the flop comes Qxx...i'd put him on QQ or AA or JJ maybe since I have KK.. but even then, its not possible for u to fold after calling 200 pre and being left with 1000...if u are not ready to shove on flop, why did u call preflop , why not just reraise him all in? if he has AA , ul gg |

| If this was quite early in the tourney I would have reraised him. Chances are he would fold but you would have picked up 200 chips without the risk of the flop. You let him see the flop and he can hit 2 pair which woud take you out. Do not be frightened to be aggressive. Sure you will lose some but with KK you will win more than you lose. |

| re: Bad play with KKs? poker To me it seems good, you play like I do. I do not like giving them chances on the turn to hit a straight or flush, so i bet or reraise. In that situation, when you pushed allin, if he did have a Q he more than likely would've made the call. I think it was a good play and you took down a decent sized pot for early in a tournament. KK is a hard hand to play especially when that ace hits the board. |

i think you should re raise all in, i mean you were short stack and if the flop was AXX and your opponent bet, then you will have to fold this incredible hand and your stack will be lower... |

| re: Bad play with KKs? poker How many chips are the average?!? It should have been the right move! if he has got a queen with top kicker it will be hard to lay down. If he got aces or trip queens he will call you. But probably he was trying to bluff you! |

| Well you won the pot? and didn't give him a chance to hit an ace on the turn or river, so I think you played it pretty well. Any pot you win is a good pot. I wouldn't worry about not extracting any more value, as this would perhaps put you in danger of losing a pot you never really should have. He must have called the extra ~500 chips? |
