| Auto-reload in Ring games online What does the auto reload to max buy in at a ring cash game online tell you about that player? Anything in particular? I know about the short stack play and the pros and cons to playing against the player that always buys in for the min. Any thoughts? I was wondering how this would affect or tell us about brm if anything. |

| re: Auto-reload in Ring games online poker Gives us some possible info on the player, but nothing about BRM, imo. How would anyone at the table know from an auto-reload whether it came from a limited bankroll amount, or whether it is backed by 1,000 buy-ins ... Kenzie is 'right on' for the most part. A player that knows what they are doing wants to keep their stack at that 100BB level, and 'should' have the BR to do that. If not, they'll be visiting the cashier soon for a re-deposit or the freeroll schedule ... |

| Thanks for the replies. That's the take I've have on it, too. Maybe the player that continues to play at the table with 4x or 5x the max buy-in doesn't have a good handle on BRM. For example, if he sits with $10 and has a bankroll of $500 (50x buy-in) he's playin smart BRM poker. But if his stack grows to say $40 now he's sitting wth 1/(500/40)or 1/12.5 or (8%) of his bankroll. These are conservative numbers, i.e., 50x BR per level, but the concept applies. | Not $500k. $500 period. That would translate to 50x the $10NL buy-in. This 50x number is what I have read is needed to BR at a given level if one wants to make money consistently and not go broke. And just because you're able to go from $10 to $40 at a table does not mean you should stay there if the $40 is beyond your bankroll. Those donkeys can't bust you just the same as they can pay you off. |

| I auto reload the maximum. Every now and then those all-in preflop aces do get cracked and I hate missing the next hand. To be honest missing a hand would probably irritate me more than the bad beat. Just make sure you have plenty of BR to eat the beats and not let them bother you. -Raymond |
