***April Leak Fixaments Thread*** So before I get down to the true grit of the thread, let me start with a captain obvious moment. We all have leaks (shocker, we know) but how often do we give a good effort to identify and address a leak? A leak could be anything, a volume leak, a stop-winning leak, a call too many 3 bets leak or anything of that nature. The goal of this thread would be for you to identify one leak (one at a time, and when you have obtained reasonable comfort that you have progressed and been better able to handle/ stop doing what you were doing/ learn, you can move on to another). The point is, fine something in your game that you do not like and study and fix it to where it does not affect your performance. Ill start by identify an area that I have been spewing at a lot. I have been getting it in way too lightly with AAxx on dry flops. By this I mean, the pot would be like 30bb and I end up in some raise wars and over commit were it is just not warranted. So my goal is obvious here, just try and not spew where there is no merit. I am sure we can get something going here so guys, let us hear it.

My 'big leak', without going into HEM and and analysing stuff, is that I'm a station post flop. It's fine when I'm floating and want to take a pot away on the turn/river. But I'm talking about when I have a mediocre hand i/p (say like 88 on a K25 flop or like KJ on a AJ3 flop) and I'm calling flop, turn then either giving up to a river bet or even worse calling it and I'm like wtf am I doing you fish. I need to give up earlier as it's doing my head in.

Ok my main problem atm is my play in the blinds. Mainly the small blind where I am far to aggresive, my VPIP is 27% in that position which is crazy. I only play more hands on the button than the sb. The fix is simple stop being a dumbass from the small blind. This is the main leak that I have found in my game and ill be putting all my focus on it until its fixed. After every session I will do an indepth review on this part of my game and keep repeating over and over to myself "stop playing from the small blind."

My leaks include all of the above. I also suffer from "monsters under the bed" syndrome, I hesitate before I go for a double barrel with a good but not great hand, working on hand reading will help fix this IMO, I'm comfortable playing 6 tables (6max) but I play 4 nearly all the time to make sure I'm paying at least a little attention to most hands.

Or if you going to flat 88 on K25r just depends on a player like is he aggro enough to barrell Qx etc cbet/turn cbet stats are pretty big for floating but you know all this shit just stop calling doubles off |

I'm having trouble in spots like this: Full Tilt - $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em (6 players) Full Tilt Hand Converter Tool from CardsChat.com SB Hero: $10.05 BB: $18.54 UTG: $11.65 MP: $23.49 CO: $7 BTN: $9.87 Pre-flop: ($0.15) Hero is SB and dealt ![]() 4 folds, Hero raises to $0.35, BB raises to $1.10, Hero calls $0.75 Flop: ($2.20) (2 players)Hero checks, BB bets $1.50, Hero folds, BB returned $1.50 Final Pot: $2.20 Showdown: BTN mucks his hand Outcome: BB wins $2.06 Standard steal from the SB, but when we get 3bet with a hand like AT+ i kinda spaz out. I mean if its a 3bet from a guy we've been stealing off all day and this is the first time in ten atmpts that hes 3bet then easy decision, but if we're raising for value from the SB and an average-not out of line guy 3bets us I dont have a clue. Need to work on this and read up on BvB stuff i think. EDIT: in this hand specifically I guess we could c/r bluff and fold out AK, i think that most PP's up to about TT prob call rather than 3bet pre, so is his range weighted more towards big pairs in spots like this??

I have two 'big picture' leaks I'm working at right now. More specific game leaks need to take a back seat to these two for the moment 1) lack of volume leak - I just don't play enough. Always finding something else to do or only playing a 1.5-2hr session. 2) thought process/autopilot leak - I just get into a pretty standard 'level 1' mode too easily. I don't wind up thinking through each situation correctly and miss things or make bad decisions. I'm working on the autopilot leak right now as fixing it works best with only 2-3 tables open. Obviously this gets in the way of working on the volume leak to some degree. But I am trying to create the habit of going through the "can I bet/raise for value, can I bet/raise as a bluff, do I have enough value to call, etc." process whenever I play a hand instead of just the "ATss, oh yeah I can raise that" mentality. I'm also working on planning lines ahead of time. Planning turn actions based on possible cards before I bet. Trying to get in the habit of knowing before I act what I'm going to do if villain raises so I don't panic and make a bad decision in the moment. That sort of thing.
