Anybody try Playin' 7 stud latley? Since I've been doin' so terrable at NLHE latley, 'cept for making it to the $1000 FR on UB 2 weeks inna row (other than that I've done very poorly at the CC FRs and any where else!) I decide to go back to my roots---7 Card Stud, the very 1st card game I ever played for cash money! And I forgot how much fun it can be AND how profitable it can be! 1st time I played in a very long time was at the PS US vs Canada, and even though I missed qualifying, I did manage to make $5! Then yesterday at a MTT, I managed to make the final table AND make $8.40!! Now, I forgot how great Full Houses could be----but yesterday I hit SO MANY Boats that I forgot just HOW many!! Any way, it was nice to win again----maybe instead of goin' bowling, and just switch to 7 stud fer a while---lay off the NLHE until I feel better!

Any form of poker is more fun and more profitable when you're catching cards. So generalizing from a session or two may be taking too much from such a small sample. That said, it's also possible to get mentally stale playing too much HE, and switching for a while can be quite refreshing.

I switch back to stud games every now and then as well.Anything to break the monotony of hours of staring at the same game seems to help.I have made decent money at stud and enjoy it but I always drift back to holdem after awhile. It just doesn't get the blood pumping like no limit does.
