7 card stud

If you are playing seven card stud and you are probably going to win the low because your opponent looks like they are going for high are you supposed to bet? If you do bet the rake will increase and most likely you will split the pot with them. Maybe once in a while you will win if you have an ace showing and they don't have much of a hand but truley I don't think it is worth it.

If you have already made a low that you are positive will take the low, then bet out. Otherwise, just check or fold. No reason to stick around in a pot you can at best split.

Yes bet if you believe you are winning the low, especially if there are more than one opponents going for high.
