6max vs full ring

i find my self being profitable at 6max tables and mtt i always get in the money, but when i try full ring it just never seems to work out the same as playing mtt or 6max, how do you vary your play from a 6max table to a full ring table?

If your moving from 6max to fr one of the main issues is tightening up preflop, i moved from 6max SnG's to FR cash games and the move over was a hard one in terms of stopping myself from playing as many hands, i also had to start adding tables because when i first started i was getting bored and losing focus quite easily.

I hate 6max cash games, they are so swingy and tilty, as i had past issues with tilt they are definetly not the game for me!

because 6 max is 3 less hands being dealt on a average, there will be worse hands winning. not significant, but in the long run it is. in 6 max you can be more aggressive. in terms of adjusting to mtts or or full rings you just have to play better hands and be more patient

Every "world" is different. As orangepeeleo said, 6max cash games are so swingy and could be a problem for a player with an easy tilt.
If you have problem with full ring games, then try to do the min buy-in (frequently 20BB) and play ABC poker. You can find (online) a lot of info about this style of play.

It depends on your interests and what you're comfortable with. When it comes to cash games I personally prefer 6 max. Why? It's just where I'm most comfortable with and where I play my best and win the most. However, when it comes to tournaments it doesn't matter how many people are participating I pretty much play the same.

Myself, I do better at six handed as well.

6 is more profitable than 10 handed. Especially at microstakes, ten handed, people fold alot of hands that truly are muck and then **** themselves when they see QJ. You get limpers everywhere and no real aggressive action just sort of trying to have the best hand everytime.

Deepstack 6 handed NL is most profitable for me. I like to be able to make good calls but still small ball when im betting. Also I dont want to be stacked easy and people give more respect when you have more chips, obviously because you're a bigger threat.

When I started microstakes I played a 20bb short stack strategy 10 handed and now from playing alot and tinkering around, I have completely swayed to the opposing format.

I'm bad at 6-max games. My style is tight and I think I end up giving up too many blinds. Then I try to loosen up and I end up going on tilt after some bad beats.
