53o

Hey guys. What is it with 53o? I've heard that it has mystical powers and that one should play it as if they have AA. I tried it today on Holdempoker $0.15/$0.30 limit...

Pocket cards: 3H, 5S

PRE-FLOP
Pops-- folds, nes_sum_sar folds, Hyasintti folds, penttitommi calls $0.15, El Viajero bets $0.30, Onthero folds, ado89 folds, johnluck1(SB) calls $0.20, Tj.40 (BB) calls $0.15, penttitommi calls $0.15.

FLOP [board cards 7D,AC,2C ]
johnluck1 checks, Tj.40 checks, penttitommi checks, El Viajero bets $0.15, johnluck1 folds, Tj.40 folds, penttitommi folds.

SHOWDOWN
El Viajero wins $1.30.

I must say it doesn't always work though! I lost heavy twice the other day with 53o. Do you have any advice about when and how to play this hand?

Umm, when you're BB in an unraised pot?

equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 36.2648 % 33.16% 03.10% { 5d3s }
Hand 2: 63.7352 % 60.64% 03.10% { random }

Or when doing crazy fun stuff like this.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t600 (6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Hero (t4930)
UTG (t3975)
MP (t9725)
CO (t1480)
Button (t28595)
SB (t18795)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5s, 3h.
4 folds, SB completes, Hero raises to t1500, SB calls t900.

Flop: (t2950) Jc, Ad, Kh (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets t3380 (All-In), SB folds.

Final Pot: t6330

Results below:
No showdown. Hero wins t6330.

I try to play it like you did there Dorkus but as I play limit rings it's hard to shake off the limpers.
