2 straightforward play
My win rate has gone up quite a bit recently. I now go into sit n gos and such expecting at least 2 place and regularly reach late stages in tourneys.
But looking back at my game, I feel although i cut down a lot on my preflop looseness (used to like any suited face card and such), i also feel that the expectation to win has made my game a bit restrainted. Whenever i win, i look back and see pretty straightforward play: i won when i had the hand to, few bluffs in position when the blinds got big, and thats it. Before when it felt like i had no expectations, i used to make more daring moves. Stealing big pots from raisers with nothing. (Needless to say it didnt always work). Is this actually better, or should i try 2 regain some of the previous aggression? |
