1/3 Stack bets -Overbetting any longterm value to it?
Lately I've noticed a trend of betting 1/3 of a players stack in micro sng early in the tournament and I've started doing this for premium hands AA KK. At this level I'm still getting callers with AX and lower pairs and sometimes even KX. Against AX I am well in front and by betting 1/3 preflop I've taken away the implied set odds for lower pairs. From other members' postings regarding higher buyin sng there are usually a couple of agro donks in those tournaments too. Has anyone tried this type of overbetting early in the higher buyin sng, vs the more standard min raise or 3-4 x BB with the premium hands ? and are you still getting any callers ? I'd hate to go back to the standard raises for the premium hands and give small pkt pairs set value.

Sorry, should have mentioned that the site is Ultimatebet and the tourneys are Turbo with 5 minute blind escalations. But you are right, the UTSS (Ultra Turbos (2.5 minute blinds), Short Stacks - tend to play more like freerolls or end game shoves with a full table. Maybe its the UTSS type play working its way into regular turbos, that would explain alot.
