I am not a cash player and never have been. I saw a promotion on Carbon about getting 50 VIP points in a month for a freeroll to win entries to Poker Maximus III. I started building some points, playing cash, and just kept on building to get to next level, for a 10k freeroll.
I have so far played in 5 sessions, single table, each lasting about 1.5 hours and I buy in for $10, (max) played around 900 hands, which I know isn't many.
I guess what my question / comment is; There seem to be pretty much the same people at these tables and I was wondering..... Are they really that bad or am I that good? In the 5 sessions, with very limited hands, I am +$50, which I am pleasantly surprised. I know that soon enough variance will rear it's ugly head, but it seems if I just play the way I usually play I keep on winning.
Anyone help me out here? Are the players that bad or is it me? Should I take the money and run? Before the odds catch up to me. It just seems too easy. Is it a set up by the regs? Many of you here know how I play, a nit. Is my game suited for cash games?
I have seen some great advice here and maybe I can have a little sent my way.
