I am not a cash player and never have been. I saw a promotion on Carbon about getting 50 VIP points in a month for a freeroll to win entries to Poker Maximus III. I started building some points, playing cash, and just kept on building to get to next level, for a 10k freeroll.
I have so far played in 5 sessions, single table, each lasting about 1.5 hours and I buy in for $10, (max) played around 900 hands, which I know isn't many.

I guess what my question / comment is; There seem to be pretty much the same people at these tables and I was wondering..... Are they really that bad or am I that good? In the 5 sessions, with very limited hands, I am +$50, which I am pleasantly surprised. I know that soon enough variance will rear it's ugly head, but it seems if I just play the way I usually play I keep on winning.

Anyone help me out here? Are the players that bad or is it me? Should I take the money and run? Before the odds catch up to me. It just seems too easy. Is it a set up by the regs? Many of you here know how I play, a nit. Is my game suited for cash games?

I have seen some great advice here and maybe I can have a little sent my way.

Overall the players there suck very badly. Nitty works ok vs the fish, although opening up a little and limping behind with more speculative hands has been profitable for me. Most of the regs are not that good either. They are mostly ABC or hit to win players, so just pay attention to when they start building a big pot.

On Carbon or anywhere else, you won't find a ton of really good players at NL10. Most regs aren't awful, but they're definitely beatable. Plus there are some fish, although generally not as many or as bad as at lower stakes. And it doesn't take long to pick out the good players. Having done that, it's easy enough to avoid them or at least not to sit where they have position on you, and also to be more careful against them.

maybe you are in a upswing, maybe you not, on the weekend can be different based on the number of players. keep playing but you know, poker is not a science, the game change as your opponents, so continue to play and maybe you can find the answer yourself.

Good luck at the tables.

Johnny every poker client have something different to offers. I had tried a lot and the one i prefer, based on the features, is pokerstars ! i love the hot keys features for example. So, i don´t believe that one is better than the other, for player John Carbon can be really good, for player Mary Pokerstars can be better so, is a question of opinion. :)

You are probabely on a good run. That is not a very big sample size that you played and that winrate is not sustenable not even close no matter how bad the player field is.
