I'm guessing Zachvac had a low pocket pair like 5/5. It could have easily been A/x though, as you two were acting weak, the flop was not likely to hit you, and a continuation be continues the "I have a good hand" message that his initial bet was meant to convey so you were both more likely than not to fold.

If you re-raised I bet he would have folded.

Anyway, you failed to flop your set so you had to ditch 2/2 against any action.

That dosn't mean he is a bully, it means that with 22 you need to get the hell out of there.
