| WOW.. I never realized how much I was being raked! Most people don't even care or see how much rake was collected from a pot, and when you do, it doesn't seem like much at all to make any sort of impact.. But ever since I got RB I've been able to see exactly how much is being raked.. For 5/10 NL after 30K+ hands I've profited $200ish + 27% in rakeback.. but they have collect over $350 in rake! Thats almost double what I even profited! Do sites really deserve THAT much rake? That seems kinda ludicris to me.. |

| Brick and mortar casinos often charge 10% instead of 5% like the online sites. You also tip the dealer, and much of the time money is taken out of every pot for the bad beat pool as well. It's a pretty good deal. Quote:
If you sign up to a poker site via an affiliate that has rakeback, the affiliate takes some of the money they get off your rake, and they give it back to you. If you sign up with an affiliate who does not offer rakeback the affiliate just keeps all of the rake percentage that the poker site pays them. The poker site cannot force the affiliate to give you back a chunk (it was never part of the deal that you agreed to when you signed up) and the poker site cannot change the contract they have with the affiliate. So you can't start getting rakeback because the terms of the contracts already in place. Now, if you signed up to Full Tilt without using an affiliate's link, then Full Tilt will usually allow you to add RakebackPros as an affiliate, thereby giving you rakeback through them. When you play at the Venetian in Vegas, the cap is $4. On most online sites, the cap is $3. For an extra buck you get free cocktails from scantily clad ladies and access to the kind of fishes you would only dream of playing online. Overall that's a really good deal compared to online rake. |

Rake Basically, it's $.01 rake for every $.15 in the pot. That's $.06666666666667... for every dollar. Yuck. Last edited by SavagePenguin : 19th July 2010 at 8:36 PM. |

If you clicked an affiliate's Full Tilt link you are on FT with them, so RakeBackPros can't step in and take over. If you had never clicked an affiliate's link to Full Tilt, (IE, you typed in http://fulltilt.com) when you downloaded the software, then RakeBackPros can step in and be your rakeback provider. |

| Since rake is $.01 for every $.15 at Full Tilt, I've done some math based around a $1'ish pot. Worst case scenario: The pot is $.90, so the rake is $.06. That's 6.67% rake. Best case scenario: The pot is $1.04, and the rake is still $.06, which is 5.76% rake. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++ Pokerstar's rake policy is better. PokerStars charges $.01 for every $.20 in the pot for stakes up to $.10/$.25 They charge $.05 for every $1 in the for for stakes above $.10/$.25 |

| re: WOW.. I never realized how much I was being raked! poker I have never deposited on Full Tilt and I get rakeback. HOWEVER, freerolls and overlays detract from your rakeback. If 100 people play a $100 freeroll you get -$1 rakeback. If 200 play the $100 freeroll theny you get -$.50 rakeback. Likewise, if there's a $1000 overlay and 500 players, you would get -$2 of rakeback. Basically, the bonus money gets divided among the participants, and that is how much rakeback they will take away. So if you are eligible for rakeback and build up -$8.50 in rakeback debt, you'll have to earn $8.50 in rakeback before you have a positive amount and start getting paid. Another thing you need to know is that if you spend your Full Tilt Points you will take a rakeback hit as well. (Had I thought about this I would have spent all my points before applying for rakeback) My advice: Spend all your points and play all the freerolls you can before applying for rakeback. Rakeback is nice though. I made almost a buy-in last week, playing what was essentially hour a day (except for the first day). Last edited by SavagePenguin : 20th July 2010 at 3:05 AM. |

| Yes, icyblueace, even if you are a break even money player, rakeback can be the difference between being a nice size winner or going home even. I noticed the other day I played over 1000 hands at one session, then you do that about 70 days a year, and it can add up to hundreds of dollars in rakeback put back into your bankroll. |

| Yeah it is pretty insane how much they get on every tourney/ring game you play. I mean have you ever done the math on a tourney like a rebuy the amount of money they make is just sickening but i guess it just comes with the game... Not too much you can do about it |

There's the VIP program, sure...but unless you're the sort that puts in the volume of hands that it takes to get anywhere in the system, you're getting practically nothin. Granted, you're paying more rake to FT to get that rakeback, but it still comes out ahead. |

| Rakeback Whatever one uses is fine I guess as long as they are happy with the current set up of the way things are being handled so to speak.Rakeback is fine if that's the way one wants to see it.Cards are what matter in the end anyway and playing the cards is what is fun for me! |

| Basset, that is probably because the tournament you were using the ticket in had a overlay. In that case, you will still get charged for the overlay and depending on the tourney you get the ticket for, it could be quite a large sum. |
