Worst bad beat I've ever heard of

I sat down to play Magic against a guy at the Betrayers of Kamigawa prerelease, and we got to talking about poker, and he told me the worst bad beat story I've ever heard. The guy was in a no-limit cash game with a 100 dollar big blind. He called a raise with 98 of hearts, and the flop was j 10 7, all hearts. The guy leading the raise bet big again, and so he pushed all-in back with his straight flush. The guy that lead the raise had ak of hearts! He drew perfect on the turn, hitting the queen of hearts and killing the guy for about 36 thousand dollars.
I felt bad for that guy.

That isn't a Bad beat and probably BS anyways.

The Player with AK hearts had to beleave he had the better hand when he pushed. He had the Best Hand Preflop while the other Guy was playing a weak hand. His mistake was calling a preflop raise with only 9,8.

I had a Bad beat that was pretty bad. Was a 2k Buyin NL at the Bellagio.

I had KK.....I raise preflop $750
I get one caller.
Flop comes 3,9 K
I push allin and get called.
Guy Turns over 7,4 off suit.
Turn comes 6
River comes 5

I was pissed off......The Guy said..."Sorry, I thought you were Bluffing"
I just said....You didn't have a hand to beat a Bluff.

Now that really is a bad beat lol. Well agree if he thought it wasa bluff ok, but he didn't even have a high card to beat your bluff. I mean 8 high beat him when you went all in and he called, he got very lucky. In a 2k buy in i would have at least expected the guy to know that much lol.....

Hey, they're ALL "bad beats" when you're on the wrong end of them!

Been on both ends

Been reading on this board for a few days and I see a lot of folks complaining about people calling when they shouldn't. Personally, I've never known a soul that didn't "go fishing" every now and again just for a change of pace. I won a Sit & Go the other night because the "pro" I was playing against freaked after I drew out on him with a 7-2o. (He had QQ). The way I see it is that he should have pushed me from the pot - he didn't. This "pro" got very abusive in chat - which I ignored. The bottom line is that I don't play the exact same way every day and I've found it helps to vary the routine now and again...
