Won the Ultimate Bet 5000 point tourney Monday night

So now I have 900 Ultimate Points. Yay me for taking first!

But these "Points" - I have a few questions about them:
  1. I'm thinking of spending them entering dollar tourneys - is there a better use for them?
  2. Is there a time limit to use these, or do they last forever?
  3. Should I just spend them willy-nilly, or do I want to save them up? Is there a benefit to having a lot of Points vs a few Points?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the advice!
I tried the 5k 1$ buy-in last night. Took 30th, so I'm $25 richer. Spent 300 points doing it though - re-buys and all that.

Super tight, probably to a fault. More than once I was in danger of going under to the blinds late-game.
I only play AA, KK, QQ, JJ, 1010 or a combo thereof. For the first hour of the tourney, I only call the blind before the flop unless I have a pair jacks or higher. If I absolutely have the best hand after the flop, I'll start betting, otherwise I fold.
I avoid pre-flop all-in like the plague - people are freaking crazy in these things. You can go all-in with aces and have 5 people join you with rags.

What finished me last night: I had AK, and went all in to buy the blinds + 1 caller. Blinds were 40k, I had 250k, it seemed like a safe buy late-game. both blinds folded, Caller had pocket 4's and correctly decided to go for it. That's all she wrote.
