Thanks. I did do some research on it and the fact that it's got a British sportsbook attached to it makes me think the play is going to be very soft indeed. This evening the site has only about 15K players and 7.5K cash players, but the micro cash tables seem busy enough. It is, after all, 2 am on a weekday night in England. Playing there between noon and 6 pm ET might be smartest. If I'm playing 2NL there should I stick to their beginners' tables or go to the regular tables hoping to catch overconfident sports bettors?

William Hill is a huge company in the UK with offices in every town. So you can be confident you won`t have any problems cashing out - they have kilotons of money. They also have licenses from the UK government to run gaming and are subject to regular inspection, so you can be confident that they are not crooked. Probably one of the safest internet poker rooms out there.

Thanks to everyone for your replies. They've been helpful. This probably belongs in the "deposit & withdrawal methods" subforum, but I checked out their deposit and withdrawal methods. If I deposit by non-UK credit card then I have to cash out by either check or bank wire--and all such transactions are done in pounds sterling. My bank takes 30 business days to clear a check in US funds, let alone one in pounds. I'll be cashing out from them only as a last resort. Incidentally, I never got an acknowledgement email when I registered my account and can't find any place on their website or in my poker client to verify my personal information to make sure I entered the email address correctly. I emailed their support people about that and haven't received even an acknowledgement yet. ... Which is at least better than Full Tilt, which takes TWELVE DAYS to reply to a support email.
