Why did I do that? - Stupid moves when playing Poker

Okay so we have good poker stories and bad beat stories, but what about the stupid " Why did I do that?" stories. I bet there a lot of those. For example I was playing in a 196 player freeroll the other day and made it down to the final 20 and the payout was 15 spots. I was very comfortable in the chip stack count and could have made it too the money easy if I just played it cool but stupid me raised from the button with Ah,4h with only the blinds left to call which they did. So it is just us 3 and I hit my ace on the flop so at this time the aliens took control of me and I pushed all in. The small blind folded but the Big blind called which was a good move on his part. He had AQo. Well that stupid move took me out of contention and I deserved it big time. Why would I make such a stupid move. So one lesson is when your this far along in the game don't blow it with stupid moves like the one I did. So what was your stupid move?

Here's one from last night:

I played in a $5 MTT, like 310 people or so. After the first hour I was 5th in chips doing great and I was seated at the "big" table with all the big stacks. After like 40 hands of 52o, 72o, 93o I got JcTc and raised PF, the 2 chip leaders both called so there were 3 of us in the pot. Flop comes QJ3 rainbow and brilliant me goes all in ! lose to fellow holding QJ..

Shouldn't have even been in the hand to start with.

Why do we make stupid moves like that? I will never know. Maybe we get a little bored when folding those crap hands while patiently waiting for a halfway decent hand or distracted by unannounced visitors which happens to me alot. I could have two games going at the same time and someone drops by and start chatting to me like I'm not doing anything. Drives me nuts when they do that.
