Where do you make most of your money?

Just a general question for the members...

What's your most profitable game? I spend most of my time on the $0.25/0.50 NL tables and change location after a double up. The only MTT I play are freerolls because I haven't found much success in them.

Id have to say overall, my biggest profit has come from a couple MTT wins, and cash games. I brought my bankroll from several hundred to $1000+ and $2000+ with two MTT wins, then some very swing-y cash game successes.

Though my most consistent profit has to be from STTs. Easiest money online IMO.

I don't play too many SnG's or MTT's but I am trying to play them more. So right now those are not overly profitable for me. Lately I have been playing NLHE like a donk and have lost some money at that lately in cash games. Wow I suck. lol

I don't play it enough but O8 is my most profitable game for me. I am no expert but the masses seem to be much worse than I and I have never had a losing session.

A lot of my success has come from SnG's. I find ring games really difficult because you frequently have a big stack who will bully you into making tough decisions. Maybe it's the tables I choose but that's my experience.

In SnG's, we all start off with the same amount of chips and I believe I can outplay most people if we start off on a level playing field. Having said that, I've had a lot of success playing jackpot SnG's at Titan. (although I'm on a bit of a cold streak atm) I've also done very well playing Omaha Hi and O8 SnG's at low levels. If you have a good understanding of the game, you can clean up. There are so many people playing who just need a break from the bad beats of hold'em. In fact, that was me at one time

I hope you are not playing above your bankroll?

5/10 NL requires at least a 30k bankroll to be successful (if you are good )
At limit you can get away with 8.5K

If you are playing with only $500 or so then tut tut tut.

Hit and run "thrill seeking" poker will only cause you pain in the long run. Dont do it.

Actually micro limit ring games are a good source of funds for me. The best strategy that I employ there is sit back and wait till I have the nuts and let the bastards hang themselves. The fish there just jump in your boat if you let them.

Also not too bad at SNGs. Out of 5 games I will place in the money in 3 of them.
My biggest downfall in MTTs is that I get bored. I am trying some different strategies to combat that.

If I think back then I would say that MTT have brought in the most dough, but on a consistent level the MTT sit n go's. My problem though is that I play too many qualifiers that have no return so my bankroll sometimes just shrinks slowly for awhile until I make it through.

Yeh, I know this feeling. What I started to do was play a normal MTT and say to myself 'this is my qualifier for xyz', then use the money if i make it far enough

Stud/8 and Omaha/8 for me in cash games, NLHE SnGs for me. My TAG style of play in SnGs fits that game perfectly, although I've been having some real good success in MTT satellites the last coulple of months.

SnG's for me lately. Haven't played cash games consistently in a long time and finding it VERY hard to get back into them with success. Add to that the fact that you need a bigger bankroll than I have right now to play in decent level games, so I'm sticking to SnG's and MTTs

It used to be from s8 cash games strictly, but I have started to depend more on rakeback and playing o8 cash games instead.

Although I've been running bad in them lately, my most profitable game has to be the $0.10/$0.25 NLHE ring games. I also do quite well on the $0.50/$1.00 Stud tables.

Online, ring games or at heads up tables which I've found to be fairly easy and quick money most of the time. But in the real world, I usually just play home games with buddies of mine.
