What type of connection do you play on?
Hey, just curious, what type of internet connection do you guys play on? I was using regular dial up for a long time. Recently switched to Hughes net satellite because its the only method of "High Speed" available in my area. There's about a 1-2 second delay between me hitting one of the "action" buttons and the "action" actually taking place on Stars. However, much worse lag on full tilt and other sites.

VDSL - 1.5Mb provisioned. Tested 1.1Mb down/400K up.
I've run 3 TLS/SSL sessions simultaneously along with other traffic and I've never had a problem. Your delay has to do with the fact that you are talking to a Satellite over 25K miles up. It takes about a 1/2 second for the speed of light to make it up/down in each direction. |

I have to use Hughes sat. too as with you it is all there is. I have terrible lag on fulltilt. Most of the other sites are pretty good. If there is a storm in the area sometimes I have some connection problems. I also have to be sure I do not download too much or they slow everything down. I just plan on downloading during the no limit period.
