What's your view of Paradise?

I've only played at Paradise so far. Some days, it seems like people win at the river over and over - even seens some chat blasting Paradise for that.

Anyone have experience with Paradise and other sites? Comparisons?

Thanks in advance

PokerStarsPokerStars is one of the best poker sites on the internet. They accept US players and using PokerStars marketing code CARDSCHAT you get a $75 bonus.

PartyParty Poker is probably the best known online poker room. Use the Party Poker bonus code CC150 for a 30% upto $150 deposit bonus.

I must say, I went to play some no limit and I was really impressed, I managed to quadrouple by bankroll in no time at all and I generally enjoyed playing there. The people seemed nice too.

PokerStars

Pokerstars is the worst for the river card. It is countless times that if they are behind going to the river they will win on the river. I have also seen where more than once when two people are all in for example with AQ and AK and the flop come Ace and Queen and blank, then the turn be a King and then the river be another Q. So the hand bounces back and forth. Happens all the time there.

Yea, everyone seems pretty nice there.

So quadroupling your bankroll means what? The other players are not very good? Not sure how you judge a site by how well you do.

Just curious

Hi - I like Paradise and Poker Stars - both my favorites for software and the way the cards come out of the "deck". Some sites are so fast, I have to read the chat to see what happened. I've played on both sites for a long time (play money practice) and have had real good runs and runs where I can't catch anything. Its all relative.

Well, it doesn't mean they're not good, but it proves money can be made quite easily. When I say quadrouple my bankroll, I mean, I deposited x and made it 4x.

I've never played a site where there wasn't player chat aimed at the suspect nature of the "random" deals. There are some threads already open here on the subject, with both sides of the fence represented. I personally feel that it's a misperception that online hands are any more volatile than brick-&-mortar hands. It just feels that way because we spend more time playing online than live, we see many more hands due to the speed of the game, and inexperienced/inferior players hang around with weak hands for river cards they should never have seen. Sometimes we get rivered cause we ask for it with our play.

I don't play Paradise as often as some other sites, but I've got no beefs. And I dig the tropical motif.

I think you're probably right on that. It just seems like it since you see so many more hands online.

But I tend to like conspiracy theories.

Not me. Seems like I'm always getting burned. But it is a 7 card game, right?

Paradise

I think it is one of the best site but with some off the freerolls some players play stupid hands and luck out and win. And the only reason they played that hand because it was free tournament

my sentiments exactly! i only play on pokerstars and paradise because their software is the best. that may be the case cause both pokerstars and paradise had their own poker people create (and keep updating) their own in-house, proprietary software. i am biased in favor of proprietary software sites vs. those who customize off-the-shelf packages (which is, as things stand, the overwhelming majority of poker sites nowadays). which is why you say to yourself 'have i seen this somewhere else?' when you check out site after site after site...(excepting from this argument of course the various skin/network-related sites)
only the names/logos vary, but the same s.ucky platforms abound...

I only play Paradise also and find the river a bad card 70 to 80% of the time. It makes you wonder what is going on.

I only play at paradise ,I like the format on the free rolls. You don't have to have points to play in them. And the people there are alot of fun to chat with. Not only that ,I found out about this place.

Paradise is a great place. Good software, great graphics, easy to use when looking around for tourneys or ring games, and very, very quick withdrawal system when you want to take your winnings out. Highly recommend them.

I believe paradise is rigged. The person with the more chips seems to always win. But isn't that true throughout poker. It always seems like people are doubling up. I may be full of it, but just keep that in mind the next time you go all-in.

Well put RammerJammer, When players play decent hands they should have a lot of outs going into the river...

I like Paradise, it is a good site for the most part. They do have allot of network problems and probably need a bigger server but..... As far as the river goes I have yet to play at a table, in a casino, at home, or on-line where the river didn't kill me so that's just par for the course I guess.
