What do you do while you play poker?!

I think if you get to a table just lay low until it's your turn to get on a streak then watch out. Lot's of times after a lucky streak comes some bit cards that don't hold up.

usually i have to keep an eye on the kids,and dogs and dinner and laundry so i stay pretty busy while playin...mabey to busy

I always play in the nude, and I also listen to music and/or watch tv while I am playing in a long tournament. To be able to be completely relaxed can lead to boredom. I need to make sure my mind is working on the tournament but also has time to take a timeout so to speak LOL :P

just crank the tunes for the most part.usually Slayer or Rush or some other heavy pounding metal. if i don't crank the tunes i'll just play 3 or 4 tables to keep the action steady.if you can get a table with a lot of regular's that good too cause the chatting is usually good for some laughs.can't follow a movie or T.V. and keep good focus on the game though.

true that, It's hard to break my focus by somehow the neighbor dog found out how so I pretty much shot him with my wrist rocket lol

I should add that watching a good movie while playing is mainly during a tourney.It keeps me from jumping in when I dont have a very good hand.Also makes the slow player thats always at a table from gettin under my skin.Ive won tourneys doing this.I should add that I do give poker my full attention at the last table and in ring games.Watching Tv is alot better than silence,i cant handle that.

I usually listen to music and make sure I'm playing at least 3 tables(even if one has to be play money.

hmmm good call my dog is always craving attention but I end up spending a ton on bones for him to keep him occupied lol

Confession time: I used to ALWAYS read email, go to CC and read/post, surf the web, etc. Then, I noticed I was losing a small fortune. But what to do while playing that would help me concentrate on my game? Really, there was only 1 solution; play 1 or 2 impt games (impt to me) and 1 or 2 FRs. this way, I can't open any browsers and have to watch all four games. My games has improved since doing this. for the first time in forever, I either came in the $$ or won my satellite seat every day for 3 days on Stars. It works! Uh, now I gotta go, I'm in two real games and I'm not supposed to be blogging

yeah I get sidetracked but I actually find that it helps me, cause if I lose a big hand to a stupid german lol jk... but if I do lose a hand then I just quickly throw on some good musica and myspace it or something

It seems to help me if I'm doing something besides playing poker. If I'm reading or chatting or whatever, it keeps me from playing out of boredom. For some reason, doing that always ends in disaster for me.

I love to watch movies or sporting events while playing. I can remember many movies because of what wins i had in tournaments while watching.

I was watching a good movie and playing a couple other tables while winning a WSOP seat. It helped relax me.

Everyone stop kidding themselves, if they are alone for more than an hour on their PC, YOU KNOW that a majority of society checks their porn library at least once throughout the night and sits out from the table for a few minutes...

I like to have poker on the tv in the background for some reason (WSOP,HSP,Poker After Dark) - maybe I find it soothing? I also eat and drink from time to time.

As to the porn library, perhaps I could build one if my rugrats would leave me alone for more than 5 seconds at a time...
