What to do with a $26 token?

I entered the $4 sng with and managed to win myself the token, I was a little tilted when I entered it, I only had $16 in my account but yet played it very well imo, The cards came my way, but I made the most of it.

Anyways, What to do with this?

I'm a little worried that whatever I play im just gonna go supertight passive and just bubble or something, I never normally play anywhere near these limits.

Thanks!

What are your strong suits? The MINI FTOPS is coming soon. Quite tough, long MTT games, but if your confident, have a go. Most are $26 to buy into, and pay out thousands to the lucky players who manage to go deep.
A similar alternative are the daily Guarantee's (pink in the tourney lobby) which are good payers too.
If your a SnG grinder, check out the satellites for $26, they are great value and you can even cash in the seat you win should you come first (usually $215). Usually have 3 paying spots. so a 1/3 chance to hit it.
My personal fave is the 90 seat $26 Knockout though. Final table all make the cash, plus $4 per KO on your way there. Not soft, but not one of the tougher games to crack either. Just try one of the $3 games beforehand if your not familiar with the structure.
Keep us posted on what you decide to spend it on! Good luck.

^^ This is the key thing.

I won a $75 token over a year ago at a time when I was playing a whole bunch of $2 turbo SnGs to see what my ROI would be, so I used it in a $75 turbo SnG. Play what you feel is your best structure.

I believe that it's not possible for you to do that..You might be able to use your $26 token for a higher buy in than $26,by using the token and cash..not sure tho

re: What to do with a $26 token? poker

Just regged for the Nine man SNG Tier two.

Thought SNG was my best game, I won the Token in a sng so makes perfect sense.

1st-2nd = $75 Token
3rd = $66

Good payout, If i make the $75 A load more questions are coming! Should be able to cash providing the cards arn't to cold.

I am interested in the replies to this one also. I won one yesterday but I have taken a different road to get it.

Since my BR has dropped to around $5 on FT, I've been holding off playing any SNG's right now, but I did have around 300 FTP's. I have found 50 FTP turbo sng's to the daily dollar. 1st and 2nd win entry to daily dollar, 3rd gets their 50 ftp's back. I have been playing numerous of these with fairly good success. I win entry to the Daily Dollar, unregister and get 200 FTP's. ( I work evenings so I am unable to play this tourney). I built my FTP's to around 3000, registered in a 1800ftp Turbo sng. Top 3 get $26 token. I bubbled the first one I entered, and won a token in my 2nd.

Now I'm just trying to cruise the lobby and figure out what I want to play with this token.

Haha, good luck sir. This would have been my LAST choice though. The $66 would be a nice return for the $4 original stake, but if you win the $75 token, thats a WHOLE OTHER CAN OF WORMS! lol.
Mind you, there is a great $69+$6 45 seat SnG that pays very well.....

Oh, try and use the token during happy hour, the $2 rake becomes $4 (28 points).

And no the token cant be used as part payment for a higher game, or cashed for tourney dollars. Its for a $26 game, pure and simple. Kinda harsh, but it gives the experience of taking a shot at a higher level without much $ spent.

would you Adam and Eve it!

Well I did it, im still a bit chuffed, as its 3x as much as ive won before. I really understand what kev was saying. Now What?! lol.

As for the game, played tight at the start, even layed down big slick for the other two to turn over Aces and Queens! Got short at the bubble, but then the big stack payed me off with AQs putting me in 2nd. The 3rd and 4th players were overly passive and I manged to hold 2nd, while the big stack popped off the others. Play was good, but I didnt really feel out of my depth.

I have a favourite tourny the 26$ daily 4k Omaha hi guaranteed, its small and its a KO not that hard of a tourny.. but my advice a Not to big KO tourny could be something?

The $12,000,$14,000 & $16,000 GTD tourneys are all good for tight SnG players because they are all deep stack.
The 90 man Turbo Knockout are good for those who like to play fast and loose.

re: What to do with a $26 token? poker

Try looking at it like you sure are getting a lot of mileage from that original $4.

Forget the scared money aspect of it. Don't be afraid of losing your original $4.

Don't play another satie with it tho, It's time to try to convert. I'd favor a KO tourney, 90 man probably, as even 1 KO will cover your original $4.

Yup, you sure are getting a lot of mileage from that original $4!

Have I made myself clear? LMAO

The 45 seat $69+6 is a good one to look at now, you'll be on it for a while though.
Alternatively, play a decent satty and unregister for the tournament dollars.
Loads of FTOPS sat's with 3 places paid, nice odd's there for a tight player. Or there is the sat to the $90K guarantee. 6 seats and 2 spots paid.
The $15K KO guarantee is looking pretty tasty too (mtt). $70+$5 buy in, $15 for every player you KO. Starts at 16:45 UK time every day.
Or try for the $216 token.....
Good luck either way!

Nice going! I would have picked one that paid cash rather than a sattie so that I could get out of the cycle, but w/e.

AAAARGHHH!!!!
Why do people insist on converting tourney dollars to cash straight away? Apart from not being able to buy into ring games, its just the same as any other money in your account.
Full Tilt charge 5% for the exchange. 5% of $163 = $8.15.
Its not like Full Tilt are short of money ya know, dont give them your charity too!
Unless your desperate to withdraw it....LEAVE IT AS TOURNEY DOLLARS!.
sorry all.

Right, I've decied to stick with 9man sngs as that is my strength and what I believe I'd have the best chance of wining. Looking at the 9mans avaliable there appear to be 2 that I would want to try.

First is the tier 3 of the token system that paysout cash to the top three places as follows:

1st $310.50
2nd $186.30
3rd $124.20

That would Give me the option to cash out which if I finished 1st or 2nd I proberbaly would.

The 2nd option is to enter a satty to one of the FTOPS events and then unregister to obtain 216T$. 1-3rd get paid here, and there seem to be a fair few dreamers who are having a stab at it from what I have observed.
If I were to win this I would spend the TD on the $4 sng which this all started from using the $26 to buy in to 45 mans and the odd knockout.

Which is the best option?
Thanks again guys, ill try one in the morning as I seem to play better then,

Well, I turned a $26 token into a $7,149 win at a $25K Guaranteed MTT a couple weekends ago. Needless to say I'm a big fan of the nighly token frenzy games, as it's pretty easy to score one. They allow me to play in the higher stakes tourneys that I wouldn't normally buy into. I've still got 2-3 tokens banked, waiting for the right moment to hopefully convert another into a significant return.

yeah I didn't convert it all kept 100 as T$ and needed a few more bucks for some ring games also I don't do tourneys so even giving them a couple bucks for the conversions is no sweat.

Well, got donked out of the FTOPS sng. Hate to go out like that. I guess some people pay anything for a flush draw, even at a $75 sng.

thanks the advice everyone fun while it lasted.

Question?

Why did you lose down to $16.00? How much did you have to begin?

My BR is accumilated from freerolls originally thats why I was a bit wreckless with it. Im gonna have some fun with it if I've spent hours in donkament freerolls griding it out. Sticking to $1 sngs now though, then ill be back to those $75 before long

Play aggressive and let everyone else worry about cashing at the bubble time....you can go from almost out to chip leader in 7-8 hands ....... just play very tight and use resonable aggression and you can win. I would really like to follow you and see how you do........Let us know sir!!
