I like suited connectors if I can see a cheap flop or raise on the button. If you miss, they're easy to get away from and if they hit you can cash in. Just remember that your odds only improve by 4% if your cards are suited, so don't get excited about hands like K 4 suited.

re: what are the % of a connected suiter improving.. poker use the rule of 4 & 2. on the flop, you have roughly 32% chance to hit on the TURN AND RIVER and 16% chance to hit on the river with OESD. with a FD you have roughly 32% chance to hit on TURN OR RIVER and about 18 % chance to hit on the river. take your outs, & multiply by 4 on the flop, and by 2 going to the river. these numbers are not exact but within like 1-2%, and this % is the % your equity in the hand.

Read an article in the WPT Poker magazine a while back, which said that the number of times you flop something and beat AA (including flopping draws which then hit) is 6.7%, so if the implied odds are 15/1 then you have implied odds to call them in if you think the opponent has a very strong hand

re: what are the % of a connected suiter improving.. poker I think the odds of outflopping aces with a made hand is about 5% You've also got to remember that if you flop something like top pair, flush draw, and a backdoor straight, or a straight draw and a flush draw, you'll have good equity against aces

| Opened ended straight flush draw vs aces, let's take 78dd as an example: Board: 6d 9d Kh Hand 0: {8d7d} 52.626% Hand 1: {AcAd} 47.374% With a flush draw and top pair: Board: 6dJd9h Hand 0: {8d9d) 51.5% Hand 1: {AcAd} 48.5% Both of those give him the Ad too, which will take a little bit off your equity. | apologies, self-pimpage: You donk, you bet a draw!!! Note that whether you're the aggressor or playing passively has an impact on whether you'll actually win the hand. |

re: what are the % of a connected suiter improving.. poker 2% of flopping two pairs, 1% of flopping the flush and 1.3% of flopping the straight. As far as draws, just get on the odds calculator and see what odds your two cards get against any given holdings, then add 3%ish to account for them being suited.
