What can I do with a step 1 ticket?

I bought a step 1 ticket with academy credits because I thought you could use it to enter any $3.30 tournament, but it seems that I cant. So what can I do with it other than playing in the steps? What tournaments accept step 1 tickets?

I don't think any other tournament accepts step 1 tickets but I may be completely wrong.

To quote the academy :

I've been looking around a bit but I can't find any tournament that you can get in with a step 1 ticket, don't even think you can get into any with a step 2. Seems like it starts at step 3, for example the Miniftops #2 lets you buy in with a steps 3 ticket.

Step 1-3 tickets can only be used for step sng's or mtt's.

Step 1 tickets ($3.30) and Step 2 tickets ($8.80) can only be used for steps. But the good thing about these steps is that it's pretty easy to get far enough to win at least that level ticket. And try again to get to the next step.
Step 3 ($26) can be used for any tourney at that level. ($24+2) And a lot of those are guarantee tourneys.

Yeah, you have to play in step sngs and get at least a step3 ticket to register to a fine GTD tourney.
But of course you can climb the ladder and reach step 7 level where the winner gets 12K if I remember well.
I have two step2 now.

Only choice you have is what format you want to play; mt sng, stt or hu shootout under the steps tab.

Okay so I played one of the 6 man step 1 sng's and ended up placing 2nd for a step 1 rebate. I tried to get knocked out 4th for $2.70 but I just couldn't. lol It breaks my heart to think that I might get this up to a $26 and then fail in that tournament considering thats like equal to my entire BR.

Hey - WHen I play with these tickets does it count as 30 cents rake? Probably stupid question but I'm curious.

And as quickly as the step 1 ticket jumped into my account, it jumped right out.. I was again going for 4th place in the same 6 man sng for the $2.7 but I fell short. =/
