I would say either Sportsbook, Bodog, or Carbon. Sportsbook and Bodog are mainly people that gamble on sports and try to give poker a shot.

Probably want to go with small sites, not big site like pokerstars or fulltilt. Small site, but make sure they aren't scam sites. Chose small site with good review.

Before today I would have said Bodog... Today I will say, not Stars. PTR (or one of the tracking sites) found pokerstars to have a higher percentage (or maybe it was quantity) of winning players. Anyway, they ranked it "least fishy" or something like that. Sorry for the rambling thoughts... haven't had any coffee today.

re: What is the best Site for beginners? poker You say before today you would have said Bodog, why not anymore? I'm just curious as Bodog is the only site I can play on as I live in Washington State and Stars and Tilt won't let me. Just curious.

Yeah, I just don't really know (or understand) what changes they have made that will affect collecting stats. I play online for two reasons: it's profitable for me and I can analyze my play w/ PT. Take one of those away and I'm going somewhere else. That being said, Bodog is super fishy and I've built rolls there without using PT or HUDs. Just on the fence w/ them right now...

You do not need need a hud to make money off bodog in 10nl cash tables, or $5 stt sngs, the are soft. However if you play mutli table sngs, they take forever to fill. Ultimate bet is also very soft, but alot of ppl hate them. Carbon is pretty soft as well.

Personally I've started on Ultimatebet.com - good rakeback and plenty of newbies. Another variant is Bodog.com - also great for beginners. But in any case you have to improve your poker constantly and than you will be able to beat any room ![]() Good luck and see you at the tables! |

I have found it remarkably easier to grow a roll on William Hill's £0.05/£0.10 cash tables than on PokerStars' $0.02/$0.05 cash games. Seems like there are way more maniacs on the Hill willing to pay you off when you hit a hand. I didn't try the lowest of the lowest limits at William Hill, but my guess is they are even softer. Btw, I started there because I got a free $50 to start with after spending 10 minutes filling in a quiz at some affiliate website, so you can even get started at the micros with a decent bankroll without making a deposit - great for starting out and learning the game IMO

Pretty sure WilliamHill (basically 'ipoker') isn't US Friendly... & reading ur name on here I'm pretty sure you reside in the states. |

You could also try a site like Spadeclub or ClubWPT, you pay per month and keep any winnings from tourneys. Just another way you could go to control your bankroll while you practice. I played a ton of freerolls everywhere starting out, and stuck around where I built my bankroll.
