What bank does Full Tilt use? Is the money safe? Hello everyone - new user here! With all the banking crisis news these days, I'm wondering if the money I've slowly built up at Full Tilt is safe? (not a lot, but I'd like to keep it) All online sites use a bricks-and-mortar bank, right? All are non-US; most small off-shore ones? Anybody know where I can get more info on this? In fact, where I can get more info on where the computers actually are and other behind the scenes info? Thanks.

don't know about FTP, but PokerStars says: "PokerStars players' poker money and account balances are held in segregated accounts and not used for any of PokerStars' operational expenses. These segregated accounts are managed by a leading European bank. The arrangements ensure that PokerStars can at all times fulfill its monetary obligations toward its online poker players, and will provide further reassurance that players' funds are always secure with PokerStars" europe does not have the kind of restrictive policies towards gambling/banking that usa does, so there's no reason whatsoever for poker sites to go for small off-shore banks while major european banks are willing to handle their money.

I would doubt that they want it known who they are banking with, esp. with the banking economy the way it is, for fear that any negative reporting on their bank might cause a huge downturn in their players' confidence in the site and deter new players from joining. That being said, I'm sure the information is out there on the net, but you might have to dig a little deeper than a question on a poker forum! (With some of the tiny countries that these sites are licensed out of, I don't know if I actually want to see this information! Then again, I don't keep enough money in my accounts that it would hurt me if I were to lose every penny of it tomorrow, either.)
