| Victorypoker leaving Cake network Victory Poker will be leaving the Cake Network and joining The Cereus Poker Network in a deal that is nearing completion and will be announced formally soon. above copied from raketherake.. Cereus network runs AP and UB,and soon Victory poker. To me,it looks like the UB scam that happened several years ago are behind them hopefully. It seems that good freerolls and even decent low buyins are getting harder to find lately. I hope since Cake was bought by pokerlistings recently and Cereus now allowing skins to be sold, that us players will benefit at the tables, when all the dust settles. |

If you want some knowledge on the subject go to 2 plus 2 to start but don't stop there. There are several blogs devoted to the issue. Within the last week Joe Sebok (UB pro/ Barry Greenstein's stepson) got caught sending a threatening message to a UB critic and has been on 2+2 trying to defend himself and the company without much success. I don't want to post links to the 2p2 without permission but go look for yourself. Even Tom Dwan posted in one thread criticizing Sebok. I would not put a dime on any site associated with UB/Absolute Poker. They are hoping that everyone will forget about it and it will die. It was robbery, the biggest poker scandal ever and it damaged the game. Don't forgive and don't forget. |

| re: Victorypoker leaving Cake network I do know its true, that nobody was ever put in jail over the scandal, and the main guy suspected never paid any money back.... I was refering to cheating still happening now,I have not heard of any cheating happening since the scandal, time will tell. Plus Im a forgiving person myself, but it wasnt my money that was cheated either, and at the levels I play,it wont be a problem soon. About the guy who stole the money at UB,I wonder why the IRS hasnt went after the guy for at least not paying taxes on this money he cheated from UB.This is how they got Capone! |

Yeah, they probably won't cheat you in the micros so what the heck give your money to them. |

| I wasn't around online poker in 2007, when the bulk of the AP/UB scandals went down, but have since read up on them extensively, and am completely sickened by the shady shit they pulled off and continue to pull off, and the extent to which they've managed to get away with everything. I've been following the Victory Poker thread on 2+2 in which the CEO of VP has been answering questions from 2+2ers who try to make him see that associating with AP/UB is a terrible idea. He'll gain a lot respect from me if he comes around and ultimately backtracks from his initial plan of joining Cereus (not that my respect is worth much, since I'm just a small time microfish).
