Vegas 24/7 to merge into Absolute Poker

Heard an interview on Rounders last night that Vegas 24/7 is merging with Absolute.

Opinions? I have no money at either site.

Think that it is about time, because I would get frustrated with both sites offering the same tournaments but you had to play with a particular one to get credit for events or to get paid for freerolls. Also when i logged in the automatic password would come up for the last site I played, even if I was on the other site. Glad to see them merge!

24/7 will cease to exist as a separate entity. You will be playing AB exclusively.

Yes. VP247 has separate promos, etc. for their own customer base, but they play on Absolute Poker's platform (AKA they are an Absolute Poker skin). Absolute Poker is probably just buying the customers from VP247 and calling it a "merger".

I originally signed up with VP247 to try to win a chance to get on the Ultimate Poker Challenge TV show, but that's gone now and so is Absolute Poker's reputation.

can i transfer $s from 24/7 to myself at Absolute Poker?

I tried that once and it didn't work. I don't think their money systems are linked.

Hmmm. I have accounts at both, so will finish up with multiple accounts. Presumably they will have to provide some way of rationalising that sort of situation.
