VC Poker moving to Entraction Network I received an email from Victor Chandler Poker announcing that they are migrating from Ipoker to Entraction on 15th December. That will be a major exercise, since VC is one of the big European sites and apparently has one million account holders. If you are an account holder, it may be worth keeping an eye on the site. In the past, after any big change or upgrade, VC have usually offered some juicy promotions and special tournaments to encourage players to try out the new software.

For your info, VC is now up and running with the new software. If you had an account there, you should be able now to download the new software from their website and login using your old screen name and password. They have converted balances from Dollars to Euros, because the Entraction Network operates in Euros. My first thought was that part of my money was missing. It took me a minute to realise that it`s only the difference in the value of the two currencies.

I have money on Victor Chandler. The software is indeed horrible as Pascal says, but the games are just awesome, personally i am happy they moved, i have already been playing on entraction for few weeks now and i am very happy for the games i find there.

Does this mean that we can expect the 'guarantees' to be dropping down on Titan? Titan has that W.P. promo/tourney thing coming up in the beginning of January (which I plan on playing most of) with guar. already set... with reduced buyins. Wondering how much this VC move will affect things? ... thoughts?

VC was one of the big sites on Ipoker. They have a million-plus registered account holders, but it`s very hard to know how many of those were regular players. At a rough guess, I`d say that at least 10 per cent of the network`s player numbers must have just shifted across to Entraction. However, I`d also guess that it won`t make much real impact once things settle down. Any player who was a regular at Ipoker and liked the games will surely just open an account there through a different skin and carry on playing. | That figure came from "Bluff" magazine, which stated that VC has in excess of one million registered online players in its poker room. I have also seen the same figure mentioned in other news articles. Bear in mind that VC was one of the first European online poker sites and has been running at least eight years, to my knowledge. Presumably the one million will include everyone who has ever registered an account during that time. The actual number of current regular players is likely to be only a fraction of that. |

Regardless of the "Bluff" report I find it very hard to believe they have 1 million registered poker players. VC like a number of other sites offer betting on all sorts of sports and maybe this is where the number comes from. I prefer the Entraction software to the ipoker version. I played a lot on High 5 which was Entraction a couple of years ago and di well so maybe I am a bit biased. There are a few good Xmas tourneys on VC over the next few days. Best one is $1K freeroll with entry requirements 1 VIP in the previous 48 hours. The one earlier this week had under 200 entries. Good luck to anyone who plays.

I don`t wish to seem rude, Tom, but similar information can be found here and on several other reliable poker websites. If it is your contention that you know better, I am sure we would all be interested in hearing about your sources of information. |

VC have put on a 1000 Euro freeroll at 2000GMT. Entry requirement is 1 VIP in the 24 hours leading up to the game. The last one of these only had around 200 entries and tonights is looking like the same. If anyone has a bankroll at VC it might be worth a shot. Good luck if you play.

re: VC Poker moving to Entraction Network Loggen onto Titan today expecting to see & enter a few guar. MTT's they have running on there around this time of day... & what?... none of them are there? It appears this VC leaving is having quite an effect (or maybe it's just today?). The only MTT's I see with a guar. prizepool are the $109 & $300+22 MTT's. They'd better get those others up & running.. 'soon'. It looks like I might be withdrawling my roll of there right after the Jan. series they're running. Maybe I'm just panicking/jumping the gun here.... & it's just something goin' on in their lobby today that will be back to normal again tomorrow on the 1st?

Titan MTT's... WTF? Here's an example for ya..... here it is the holidays still & one would expect the MTT's to have more entrants than ever. Starting up right now (13:10 est) is a $5rebuy that typically has around 690-710 entrants (on a weekday!!). Today it just started up with 95 players!!!

Sorry for the multiple posts but I just can't believe it?!?! 14:00(est) $30+3 {$5,000GP} typically has close to 200entrants. Today it had 40entrants (4paid). WOW.... they've basically gone from Tournaments down to multitable SNG's. This just sucks!

I had to join to speak on this. I Played at VC for many months making a nice £300 a month crushing HU at the smallest stakes 1p/2p with a max £5 buy in permitted. I was very unhappy when they moved to Entraction as firstly I lost all my notes and also they dont have the smallest buy in tables. Have been happy to withdraw it all and move to another ipoker skin starting from scratch and banking a lot of spondoolies. £20 to £335 in about 21days -aaah cant beat Ipoker. If you are disappointed with Ipoker now, you could try Entraction. The number of entrants in their tournies is not very large but, on the positive side, the standard of play is weak and a competent player such as yourself should have little difficulty in turning a profit, and it`s a network that`s on the way up. Frustratingly, CC doesn`t seem to have any link to any Entraction skin so one is left to make one`s own choice. Victor Chandler is (obviously) a big and reputable company where your money should be safe. The Irish skin, Betdaq, also seems sound.
