Ultimatebet Steps - Has anyone made it from bottom to top & odds?

Just wondering if anyone has done this....

Also, has anyone modeled the number of these things you'd have to play in to have an expectation of making it to the end? (Meaning how many Step 1's would a strictly Average player have to play to get 1 Step 10 ticket or victory)

I don't know the odds/stats, but I made it to Step 8 twice starting from Step 3 or 4. Unfortunately didn't get beyond that and haven't put a ton of effort into playing enough of these to make it all the way.

You'll see a lot of the same players waiting for a game at Steps 9 and 10. Good value in it for the SNG sharks when other players make it up starting from the bottom.

Epic fail at step 5 repeatedly, I quit.

I played in the WSOP Step Tournaments and I always started at Step 1. I made it to step 5 probably around 12 times and step 6 once. I never made it past that though.

is the Ultimatebet steps like the steps on stars?

I started from step one a couple times. The farthest I went was step five.

It would be hard to get all the way to step 10 without taking a bad beat.

To this and the other question about Party Poker, I don't know the answer. I don't have those sites.

The format at Ultimatebet is sort of like this...

Step 1: Place 1 & 2 gets a Step 2 Ticket, Place 3 & 4 get a Step 1 ticket
Step 2: Place 1 & 2 get a Step 3 Ticket, Place 3 & 4 get a Step 2 ticket
and so on...

Although I think at the higher levels only the top 3 get a ticket. I hope that helps.

On Stars can you unregister or similar to get $T at any point?

I think you could, sit and watch them, pick up how they play , then use it to beat them...
