UltimateBet and the new Rabbit Cam

Do you play at a poker site that thinks you are gullible? Ultimatebet/Absolute Poker and Cereus seem to think you should.

I know a lot of you don't like the technical jargon behind RNG's, card shuffles, etc. But what do you think of a site that tauts their new 'Rabbit Cam' with statements on the Cereus website like:

"As soon as you hit the tables, you’ll immediately realize an enhanced gaming experience that includes some incredible new features like the ability to create private tournaments, a rabbit cam, a timebank, avatars and more.
Find out what the next card dealt would have been.
Keep track of your percentages and how a hand would have played out."

In a reply to my question to Ultimatebet support, they confirmed that their card shuffle is 'constant', as it is on Full Tilt and many others. Rabbit Cam is supposed to give you "how a hand would have played out." You cannot do that with a constant shuffle.

Any millisecond online changes the outcome and the cards actually 'rabbited' from the remaining deck. A 'live deck' rabbit takes the cards as they would have been dealt - from the top of the deck.

I'm not a fan of rabbiting anyway. But why provide a wonderful new feature that gives you totally false information that you can 'keep track of'?

For anyone interested in the details I received from Ultimatebet, PM me and I'll send you a copy of their e-mail - which can ony confirm that this feature is a sham on their players and customers. If there's enough interest, I'll post their e-mail here.

Not sure why you are upset about this...

Other sites have provided the Rabbit Cam. Many people like it. I never use it myself. But could care less one way or the other.

Good Luck Nick....But I suggest you direct your anger at a better topic

I've used the Rabbit Cam at Carbon, just for curiosities sake, but don't really see the purpose of having it or using it, unless you want to rub your win in your opponents face especially if he would have beat you after the cards are all layed out and you now just put him on tilt

Merge uses a constant shuffle too so the info is incorrect. The "rabbit" is obviously used to get peeps to call with crap to the river.

It's not about 'anger'. I'm not at all angry, especially since I don't use it, but for those who (right or wrong) count on it, it is misleading. Not a lot different than buying a car and the dealer tells you it's a V8 and get it home and find it's a rubber band drive.

A number of times I've seen a player chat about "dang, I would have made my flush". No, they wouldn't. The cards would have different. Definitely not 'rigged' in any way and it's not what I'm suggesting.

Is it incorrect to bring 'any' issue to light in a forum discussion about specific sites in this 'Poker Rooms' thread?

Curiosity IS the general motivation for rabbiting. See it once in a while in live games when the table agrees, but very rare.

It's surprising how many people are not aware of this.

I'll leave rabbitting to the nickel-ante games that the family plays together.
