Ultimate bet or bodog?

I already have accounts with pokerstars and with full tilt but I am going to sign up for an account on either bodog or ultimate bet. I want some input on which site is better. I play alot of sng and cash games but also like to play some big tourneys every once in a while. I also like a site that makes it easy to get your money out. Any ideas about which site is better?

www.Bodog.comwww.Bodog.com is the best known US sports book and their poker room has grown rapidly over the last year to be one of the top destinations especially for US players.

UltimateBetUltimateBet are one of the older sites on the internet with a great range of games to play and a $1100 bonus using the Ultimate Bet referral code CCUB.

Both sites have easy cash out methods...it seems Ultimatebet is the easiest of all the sites at the moment. Ultimatebet is the larger site and gives you more variety. Bodog is well known for Super-Fish play, and has seen its numbers increase a bit as Canadians have been allowed to join for the first time recently.

Bodog also has an instant 10% credit that you get immediately upon depositing, plus the normal 100% bonus that you earn as you play.

I personally recommend both sites. I might lean towards Bodog if you are looking for crazy players that call anything

I have them all, but I think I prefer Bodog over Ultimatebet...just my opinion...have heard some bad things about Ultimatebet & depositing there. I haven't really deposited at Bodog, but I like their freerolls better. GL wherever you decide to play!

i`d have to say Bodog, i make most of my money there, the players are not so great, but they cut back and went up on some of the Guarantee MTT`s, the one i used to play was $12+1,, now its $30.+3, but over all i think Bodog is better, i noticed some of the Guarantee MTT`s at Ultimatebet today, i might give them a go soon, probally next week,, thats my 2 cents worth,,LOL ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,b uck
Oh, and when you cashout by check @ Bodog its at your house in 5 or 6 days, i like that being im from the U.S.A.

re: Ultimate bet or bodog? poker

I prefer and play on Ultimate Bet just because of the sheer amount of different games and tournaments. There is also a good variation of great players to sub-par average players which makes it enjoyable and profitable to play the majority of the time. I also prefer the layout and features of Ultimatebet as well. Hope this helps

Ultimatebet offers rakeback, and you can play more than 3 tables at a shot... to me its not close.

Could never really get into Ultimatebet software. I think Bodog is an overall better site and much rather have a roll on there. Also, if you do any other types of gaming or gambling, Bodog allows you to transfer funds to casino and sportsbook.
I would recommend downloading both looking over lobbys and possibly playing a few play chip tournaments to see which you like better. Then make your own decision based of the pros and cons of each in your OWN opinion. Good Luck with your decision.

man..I can't stand bodog..
The software is just horrible and no way I can get into it.
Ultimatebet on the other hand was a shady poker room, don't know about now.

I'd have to choose Ultimatebet because they do have a good tournament schedule and if you change the background to all black than its just like Pokerstars software.

re: Ultimate bet or bodog? poker

I don't like either one of them. (they don't compare to Fulltilt & Pokerstars imo).
As mentioned above, Bodog has alot of really bad players on it. Also, you can only have 4 tables opened up on Bodog. I also can't stand their HandHistory feature (it is junk).
Some people like playing on UltimateBet and is their favourite site. I could never understand that one.

I like them both ,just depends on what mood I'm in, I've deposited and withdrawn from both with no problems, Ultimatebet has a little more variety!!! in games, but I've played both sites for hours on end and won at both for the most part lol.

Personally...

There has been some shady dealings with Ultimate Bet... Just google search it and you will see... But after all that I still would go with Ultimate Bet...

Bodog just dont have enough variety and I don't like their layout that much.

I play at P.S's, PlayersOnly, UltimateBet & WSEX...of these 4, Ultimatebet is at the bottom of that list. I really only stayed on there cuz I won a freeroll when i 1st joined. Played that $ a long time, but have connection prob's w/ them all the time. Plus, all the bs about the site left a bad impression. My next addition is Bodog I believe...Whatever you decide - ENJOY!

To set the facts straight, Bodog is now a franchise model, so there is no one "owner". For example, the poker channel is now owned by a Scandinavian Group headed up by the former CEO of Pokerroom.com, Bodog.com is owned by MMGG, Bodog.co.uk and Bodog.ca are owned by Bodog Europe and Bodog88.com is owned by Haydock sports. Anyway, this means there are different owners depending on where you live and what you are playing. Nobody in any level of authority in any Franchise has ever had any criminal issue anywhere and neither has the Founder of the Brand, Calvin Ayre (Calvin no longer owns any of the Bodog branded gambling sites, but he does partially own the brand name and licenses it out to the above).

Anyway, as you guys know, I am here to serve as a point of entry into the decision makers of the Bodog licensee you are dealing with- PM me if you think I can be of any assistance to you. However, if you have a customer service issue, please go to them first as the CS teams of all the licensees are excellent and they can help you faster than me.

Lastly...the new poker management has a lot of improvements and changes coming down the pipeline, the most exciting being the upcoming poker network which will be open to non-Bodog branded sites. Q's? Comments? Let me know in a PM please.

Thank you! Becky

The fact that the word corruption was mentioned regarding Bodog and not mentioned regarding Ultimate Bet is so amusing. Wow...

To each his own, but I just don't understand why anyone would ever consider depositing money into a site that has been proven to be shady.

Becky, can you explain further what "the upcoming poker network which will be open to non-Bodog branded sites" means? I'm a regular on Bodog and always interested in knowing what improvements are coming.

I like Ultimatebet myself and would like to suggest that you apply for a rakeback when you signup. Don't forget to signup through the site you are applying for rakeback with. Most rakeback sites have their own link for you to sign up for whatever pokersite you are going to register with.

Sure! Think of it like the Cake Poker Network...on the cake poker network you can play at Cake Poker or other non-Cake branded poker sites such as Doyle's, Power Poker, Players Only, etc. At the moment, the Bodog Network includes Bodog.com Poker, Bodog.co.uk Poker and Bodog.ca Poker. As of mid-2010, Bodog Network will be open to accepting non-Bodog branded poker sites in addition to the Bodog branded ones.

Does that help? If not, please let me know!

That helps a little, Becky. I'm new to the term 'poker network'. Does this mean that players on any of the 3 sites you listed, plus other non-Bodog sites will all be playing in the same database? For example, I log onto Bodog, see a SNG and someone else on another site will see the same SNG? So there will be an influx of players on Bodog.

Thanks,
Paul

If you are playing SNGs and MTTs, I would play on Ultimatebet or Absolute Poker. The tournament structure is much better than Bodogs.

Also, you can get rakeback at Ultimatebet or Absolute Poker.

Bodog doesn't have rakeback, but they have points. I'm not sure how the 2 compare in value, though. Anyone know?

If you like seeing your opponents whole hards, I would choose Ultimatebet/

Seriously though I think Bodog is better because of the players alone, very loose players and i find my biggest cash game sucess is on this site. Don't really like the software for it is really limited compared to other sites but the players will make it worth while.

Plus they take US credit and debit and i've never had them charge me for withdrawls and Ultimatebet does charge.

Also the fact you can blow your entire poker bankroll at the sportsbook is also nice

Nice lobby, cheap mtts/sngs and ring, and lots of fish.

i think whichever you choose you will be fine

those 2 are definitely #3 and 4 right after pokerstars and tilt in best poker rooms in us so you should have no problem in either i would say try 1 and if you dont like it just quickly switch to the other one, good luck.
