UFC Poker - KO Dana White, game starts in 20 minutes!

UFC website now has poker on there. It's all free games, and you can win UFC prizes and sometimes cash. Dana White plays on there every now and then. A KO Dana White tournament is about to start in 20 minutes.

Winner gets $500 UFC gift card, and the person who KO's Dana White gets $500 in cash!

UFC/MMA fans should check this out. Like I said, all the games are free, and the tourneys are usually filled with donks. It's setup similar to ClubWPT, if anyone has played on there before.

They have poker games up there all the time.. and Dana White jumps in a game about once a month or so.. so keep an eye out for it if you download the software!

Very Interesting! The UFC as a business has made a a unbelievable comeback. I have been following the UFC since 1993. Opening a UFC poker room could mean a big plus for online poker. It should bring 1000's of UFC loyalists to the tables. And because of its US popularity, hopefully there will be more pressure on our politicians to legalize the game. And finally, the business itself has been successful getting licensed in many US States. Why not online poker next!

If they have legalize prostitution in some states then online poker should too.

I tried out UFC Poker in the hopes of winning some swag. The client is an excercise in frustration. Video ads (with sound) play when you're checking into a tourney, as well as during all breaks. Banner ads are on the side and bottom of every table, and you can't resize the windows or drag them past a certain point. It's like surfing the internet in 1995.

Multi-tabling is sheer chaos. The client will take focus away from a table where it's your turn just to show you that you posted the SB on another table.

Sure, the play is atrocious, but there's no money to be won. I won a seat in the weekly $1,000 game after a single final table finish. 3000 or so players, and here are the payouts:

First place: $750
Second place: $200
Third place: $50

Everyone else goes home with nothing, except for maybe some more points. You'd be far better off playing a freeroll on FT or PS, or a micro buy-in MTT. I know they just started, and might get better, but at the moment, I don't see anything worth recommending to anyone, save perhaps the chance to bust Dana White out of a tournament. Easily the worst poker client I've used to date.
