UB malware.

I just tried 2 open up UB, but my anti-virus detected malware in it and quarantined it. I always noticed that UB really slowed down my computer, but now i'm really worried.

It's a false positive (according to UB reps) so if you believe them you need to exclude the UB folder from your AV and you should be fine. I don't play at UB so this is just based on other threads about the issue.

False positive... HMmmm... similar to their previous 'false reports' on collusion and cheating, etc ?? ...

May or may not be related, but I had a virus situation with them yesterday.

Malware and spyware at UB would not surprise me at all. Now that the GGE games are over from this wekend, I may just re-delete their site altogether.

Thanks for reminding me. Same thing happened to me and I planned on uninstalling after the tourney.

Wait so you guys got virus warnings and went ahead and installed it to play some silly FR anyway??? If it really was a virus (I don't believe it is btw) do you really think you could just uninstall the program and it would go away?

Obviously UB isn't going to give you some deadly killer virus, it really wasnt a big deal. I'm not an idiot that gets viruses on my computer, I know how the series of tubes work.

If you had read, you would have noted that I didn't re-install until my virus scan accepted what they had on their download. I was already planning on NOT playing the games (FR or the buy-in) if the warning had persisted.

I trust what the anti-virus program says ... that's what I pay for ...

It`s a false positive. Since its last update, AVG is a bit hyper-sensitive and raises warnings about some sites that are clearly ok. A couple of days ago, it tried to tell me that the BBC website was dodgy, which is scarcely credible.

Since the UB software is "malware" itself it didn't surprize me that I got the message .

There was some kind of flaw in there last update apparently. They said it has something to do with them trying to detect poker bots.

I was also having problems with false positives a while back "not with poker sites" using avast.

After i did a bit of digging the problem turned out to be internet explorer, I switched to firefox browser and have had no problems since.
