Trump Casino in Gary, Indiana

So I went there this weekend, and I saw the WORST poker play I have ever seen in my life. It was my first time in a casino, and I for some reason thought that casino play would be better than online play/home games. Wrong. I was playing 3-6 dollar limit, and at a ten person table there must have been like 70% of the table seeing any given flop. Not only that, but they'd keep calling, often even betting all the way to the river to see if their cards would pay out. I went from $40 to $190 in about 5 hours. Woulda made even more, but I wasn't getting many good hole cards. (I saw like 20% of the flops, if you include checking from the big blind). I should mention this was the first time I have ever played limit.

live games

Ive seen a lot of games like that where i live. There are about 10 games going on in town and everyone of them are at least %50 to the turn. Its funny all you have to do is sit there listen to the ipod for a few hours and you more then double up. Isnt it great.

next time i think you should bring a little more to the table - $40 is a pretty small buy in for that limit
wish i could hit that table up too sounds like lots of chips for the taking
i hope you're going back to milk em out some more, shwing!!

Hmm...went back tonight not as loose. I mean it was still loose, like 40-50% preflop, but I could find that online. I'm gonna recheck sunday night, and report back. Cuz it was pretty packed tonight, maybe on sunday the play is loose. Hopefully it is, that could be a good income supplement.

3-6 at live games is ALOT like microlimits online. YOu're going to find some of the loosest games at 3-6...but its VERY easy to beat.. just play tight aggressive. I won 500$ (counting a 100$ bonus for winning the high hand for the two hour period with JJJJA) playing 3-6 and only seeing about 30% of hte flops. Even when you're playing tight no one seems to respect your raises and you're frequently reraised when you have AK or KK or something with a far lesser hand like A4 (alot of people will raise preflop with any ace and if htey hit will ALWAYS pay you off) Its amazing how many poor poker players there are even live.
