| True Poker I came across Truepoker.com other day. I searched CC for info which came back blank but if I've missed it and you already know, forgive me. First off, I'm not attached in anyway apart from being a member. The graphics are nothing to write home about and the avatars are basically poor, but you don't need to deposit and they accept US. players. What they do offer is a no catch, 4 tickets to a 10 seats one winner sit and go with a $10 prize. Plus the competition is a bit pony as well? I won the first, second in second, "All guns blazing" big tilt in third and another first in last one. So if your bankroll is low and you have a few hours? nothing to lose, try it. I'm not even touting the refer a friend. Or should I? Good luck. |

| TRUE POKER IS A SCAM , I'm so angry with them for ripping me off I've created a website dedicated to warning people about them, I have done a little research and found I'm not the only person with similar problems. Last edited by juiceeQ : 6th December 2010 at 12:41 AM. Reason: removed link |

| Sounds very unfortunate. Hmm.. 'True Poker'.. can't say I've heard of it before. Incidentally, most sites will allow two computers/people to play on the same site at the same time (usually best to let them know in advance as you did here at TruePoker). They won't allow you to play in the same 9plyr. SNG or on the same cashtable but everything else is pretty much a go. |

Lets see what Shiver encounters. Shiver. please keep us posted here to your experience. And to Rich, sorry to hear that. That is a bad deal. Are you certain that nothing happened - i.e you both in a game together - that they could interpret as fishy? And if you would, please post other links from your research so all the info is available. BTW, you could make the Font on your site bigger, would make it easier to read (for old bad-eyed guys like me) Last edited by juiceeQ : 6th December 2010 at 12:42 AM. Reason: removed link in quote |

I was looking at some sites on PokerScout tonight (actually after reading this thread... to see if i could find this site on there... & I could 'not').. and was just amazed at some of the pokersites that run off of some of the networks. There are over 70 sites on some networks & only ~200 players playing on the entire network, (one with zero players playing lol )(that would mean that some of those 'sites' sure don't have many players lol). |

yea good point. I was thinking more about Shivers comment that you dont need to deposit to build an easy BR, but on second thought, if you cant get it, what good will that do? |

We never logged in at the same time, we only used one computer so it wasn't even possible, to answer your question no we never did anything fishy and we never had any problems on the other sites having two accounts. We were real careful to follow the rules and not doing anything that could be interpreted as trying to collude or beat the system. I'm still steaming mad about the situation, and I'm hoping that my post on different sites and creating a website against them will be enough to hurt true poker out of the money they stole. |

??????? Most sites allow family members to play, and it will mainly be from the same computer. If you read his link you would be able to make an informed opinion. He wrote that he informed the site of multiple family members playing, and this is normal. |

| True Poker is on the Yatahay network and it is listed on Pokerscout (just checked). I've played there off and on, as well as a number of my friends, without issues. I'm sorry to hear about your issues there rj, especially considering you e-mailed them to explain. The player pool is pretty small, but fishy, and they've being investing quite a bit in the site recently (just upgraded the software and their website), as well as running a number of decent promotions. Their network is really old (started around 2001), and for the longest time only hosted a pretty ugly 3D software enviroment - that last update introduced 2D tables similar to most other sites. I'm pretty sure that 4 SNG deal is only for the first month after you sign up, so make sure you play them right away. Or stay away. To each his own. |

| To me, when any corporation or members there-of, join a site and purposely try to dispute claims by a member of said site, shows me a huge lack of professionalism. All of this should be handled in private with the customer, a corportion using media means such as this forum to try and silence ONE PERSON means they are truly afraid of what that person is saying. Example: Full Tilt gets accosted everyday by tons of different claims (hell just check out the rigged mega thread) Yet you never see a personal response directed at an individual by FTP adminstration on this site. Now that I've seen such actions taken by the site, I am far more inclined to believe the disgruntled member and will not have anything to do with Truepoker |

| How would True Poker know that he was using muti accounts,an it's not his wife playing and him.Me and my wife have accounts on full tilt and stars. If i went to withdraw my money an one of these sites accused me of muti accounting i would be hoping mad myself. Edit : As for as the brother credit card being used it shouldn't have been able to go through in the first place. If they want to make sure your info you have entered into your account matches the cc info, because they sure as hell need to match before withdraw. |

| Sorry I lost track of this thread, only just caught up now. And to be honest I've not really played much at True-poker lately. The rigged & scam theory will drag out forever. I've not seen anything here that I have not seen at other sites! I did notice a few people from the same town but still nothing suspicious happened. They have a limited amount of annoying avatars that can not be turned off. Only NL players @ .5/.10 + .10/.20 6 tables right now. There are limit tables but no one plays them. I still have some of my winnings, I had a bad session one night & its been a while since I've logged on. I have noticed more playing but my odds indicator does not attach to the tables (& I have a crap memory) I'm happy to play there at present. |

| As other posters stated, stick with the big sites and you will have less problems. In addition if you do shady stuff, like have multiple accounts and make deposits using other peoples credit cards don't complain when your money goes bye bye.... I'm with the poker site here. I'm so sick of people trying to cheat the system. |

| True poker give out 4 free tickets to sng's to have a look at their site. Maybe this is not enough for some people and they take advantage and open a few accounts. They might have suspected you rjchavet of doing it and acted on it? FTP & PS must have started small in the beginning? |

| re: True Poker True Poker has been around for more than 10 years and used to be really popular, but after online poker started taking off they lost tons of players to other sites. They're doing anything they can marketing wise to get more players there. Anything to discredit them would really hurt what's left of their business. I've been there for most of the time they've existed, but kind of gave up playing on that site since there's so many other players and pros at other sites. Never really had any problems with them at all. |

I was surprised it took them until last year (I think??) to make over their interface with filtering options and a 2D view. Considering how many people used to play there, it's a shame that a company that started so early couldn't hold on to the users because they didn't evolve with their competitors. |

| I have an account on Doyles room, and was moved to (Yatahay Network) where true Poker was/is the main site. As stated other where the software looks a bit dated, you can't resieze the screens, as my computer runs in high resulution, I have have to scale it down to 1280pixle or less when I play there. As you can see at Pokerscout the network is small which mean not too much traffic. and wait time to play SnG's (that is bad because the rake in SnG is low, so i would love to play a lot of them there) however their small guarenteed tournaments is good value and there are quite a few of them and they also have a few biggis which there run good value satellits for (you don't get tickets but get enrolled and have to play at a fixed date), however the big once are US friendly which mean eu players have to start at 3 o'clock in the morning and that a bit late for non hardcore players. There also runs some ring games most of the time. The support seems very fiendly and all my question has been answered right away, they seem nice and friendly. |
