tourney coupons on Carbon

I have some tourney coupons on Carbon and was wondering if there is a special procedure to use these. I have an $11 coupon and when I regged in a tourney for $11, it took the monies from my BR and not the coupon. Did I do something wrong?

Yeah, when you register a box comes up saying "Please choose a buy-in option" with an arrow and drop box, click the arrow and it will give you your options. Beware though, I had an $11 coupon and it only worked on certain $11 tournaments, I couldn't figure out why it worked for some and not others though.

I have won some of these in the daily FR's they run. Are there any tornies these can be used for that are not rebuys ?

Yeah, I used it in a normal $11 freezeout.

If it's an $11 satellite coupon, I believe you can only use them in a satellite tourney--at least that's the only place I could use mine.

As the previous poster said, make sure the $11 coupon is shown as an option when you are registering and select that option.

Thanks. It's strange... I seem to be able to use it for a turbo deepstack but not any of the non turbo's that are open for reg. at this time. In any event that is preferable to a rebuy for me. I wonder if they list where we can use these somewhere.
But thanks for the info ... I thought they were only good for the sat's w/ rebuys.

I have had the similar situation where your coupon will work in certain tournys, but not others of the same entry fee. Not sure why as it seems pretty odd. It would be nice if the tickets/coupons were "clickable" which would then take you too a selection of all the tournaments that particular ticket/coupon would work for, but I guess that's asking for too much from Carbon.

Thanks all, I will have to check this out later. Can't right now playing on Black Chip. I have a couple $33 coupons and $11 coupons. Tried to use an $11 one today and ended up using my own cash.

Yeah, mine was a "satellite coupon" but it worked for a freezeout.

You'll be able to use them in the upcoming Poker Maximus series. Lots of $11 and $33 buyins to choose from. I'm hoping to play alot of these although the times aren't great for me.

That series looks awesome, will definitely have to get in the $11 and $5 games. Will try and satty into the $109 ME too. Thanks for the link!

No worries John. It does look really good. I've reg'd up for 27 of the events. Not sure if I'll play them all but I intend to. Some of them have bad start times for us this side of the pond but I might go for it anyway.

Good luck to you too George. I've just registered for the ones I think I'm likley to play. RL will probably interfere with some but we'll see. Have only started playing on Carbon properly lately and I have to say it seems like a good site.
