Tip on Bodog's freeze-ups & lags....

I'm surprised that many at Bodog may not be aware of the cause or solution. But with the help of others at my table, I've learned how to solve the problem.... Close the tournament lobby/lobbies. It helped immediately and completely yesterday. This piece of advice will definitely come in handy for the OFC tourneys this weekend.

Thanks Dive, I don't really have problems there, unless I have another site open, but that could come in handy.

Pooffy, I had tried closing just about everything else before, and it did not help. It would never have even occurred to me to close the lobby, as lobbies don't seem to be a problem elsewhere. Seems there is something in Bodog's software that uses a lot of juice/cpu to update the info in it.

For some reason I never close the lobby when i play a tournament but I did this time and Much better!

I figured this out too, but then I would sometimes still get lag, so it only helps.

But now it seems like they fixed there problem because lobby or no lobby I never lag/freeze anymore.

I still have the problem of buttons not always appearing or if they are there registering a click

Nothing more frustrating than to be sat out because the click doesn't register

Thx for the tip Divebitch! I'll give it a go during the OFC Freeroll...plan is to play on the netbook with no other apps running...using the laptop for other stuffies (now gonna hafta see how coordinated I am ...LOL)

I guess it's just me, lagging like crazy at Bodog. Even with a closed lobby. I guess this is Bodog's way of seeing if my tilt control is really for real.
