Strange Poker Stars problem / Solution Hi, I know some other CC'ers have had a similar problems at Poker Stars as I have. It started about a month ago. The problem was that PS would not start up, network looked fine but the program just wouldn't open up! I tried downloading and reinstalling the software again but that didn't help. I would try up to ten or twenty times to no avail. I use the Vista operating system so this problem may be only associated with Vista, but what I found out today is that if I right click the shortcut to the PS program, select "Run as Administrator", it started right up. I hope this "fix" is helpful to others. PJ

I could be wrong here but sounds like you somehow blocked the site from being opened normal. I have not had a problem with Pokerstars opening.

Sounds like a similar prob I had..it turns out when Stars did the last update and wnt to restart Vista asked to "Always Allow or Always Deny" the connection I must have clicked on Deny by mistake. I went into Security settings and changed it back to allow.
