still think its not rigged?

just a question to those of you who think its not rigged.........i just read that sites like Ultimatebet and pokerstars tag their players who deposit over $10,000 and that 100% of the tagged players who sign up for freerolls make it in the money..........it was written by 2 guys who worked for pokerstars.....they said they do it so the big money players who actually play freerolls dont go to other sites...........my question is this if they can make it so the big money players always place why cant that rigg the live games as well?now im not saying its all a scam but doesnt this make you wonder???????????????????????????????????????????: confused:

Even if they sit out the entire game?

Just this just apply to round 1, or does it apply to round 2 as well?

Well, the source seems pretty legit. Does make you wonder? How do they know about Ultimatebet and other sites though?

I'm going to deposit $10K and check this out, who else is with me?

I have worked out a way so ALL CC members can be rich! Lets open an account at stars, all put $5 each into said account until we have $10k in there. Then all take turns playing in a different freeroll (where we are guaranteed to get ITM).Simple!!!!!!!

It's pretty simple really. If you think Online poker is rigged don't play. If you think online poker is rigged call the FBI.

I think that the hands we see played online seem more unreal because there are more people playing hands that would normally be folded.

There is a thread (several I am sure) that points out the amount of times members here have hit AA in the hole.

Check that out.

100% huh, is that like 1/1 highroller who momentarily aspired to be a freeroller? To answer your Q, this only makes me wonder about you not pokerstars.

Give the guy a break. This is true. The catch is that while they're guaranteed ITM PS ensures that they don't make the final table (doomswitched after the bubble) so they end up winning like 78 cents. Still there are a lot of guys who deposit an extra 10K just to guarantee that kind of ROI.

Depositing 10K and then playing freerolls is obv. great BRM plan.

They're never down, but if they win, they increase their BR.
Also, give gives them an edge in the bragging rights department.

Why is it so hard for most of you people to think that it's atleast possible that some of these poker sites to do a few under handed things to get players? They are a business. Most business do alot of things you probably don't know about to make money. If they don't make $ they would'nt exsit. I'm not saying all of them but, I don't be so naive. I'm sure I'll get some nasty reponses to this but, would be the first time.

No one is saying that it isnt possible. I bet everyone who is opposed to the whole "Online Poker is Rigged" theory would freely admit that it is possible for sites to cheat their customers out of more money if they so chose. The problem lies in the proof and sources of proof. The poker world is filled with enormous ammounts of data that is freely available. With enough computers, I'm sure you could easily datamine 1,000,000 hands a day off of Full Tilt Poker alone. In one month you could gather enough data to verify or disprove anything regarding online poker that you wanted. And yet, the best all of the conspirati can come up with is "I read it from a link on some dudes MySpace page, so obv. it's true" or "ZOMG, I had 5 bad beats today, that's totally not possible".

Please, give me a break. Some of the worlds greatest minds in dealing with statistical analysis are involved with poker. Yet none of them have discovered any abnormalities? Just look at how the whole Ultimatebet/Absolute Poker scandals*** were busted wide open. How were they caught? Because people noticed results unexplainable by normal variance. The poker community, as a whole, is incredibly intelligent, and it would not take very long at all for any sort of foul play to be recognized and immediately be out in the open.

***Please note that sites like Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker are the exception, not the rule.
