The State of your Online Poker Rooms...Let's Dish!

Full Tilt Poker: Serious Downgrade from me lately. With the WSOP and their ultra-hip commercial campaign, Full Tilt seems to have attracted a ton of new players. Unfortunately, a good percentage of them seem to act functionally retarded. Full Tilt used to have a really mellow, solid, well-mannered crowd, but there has been a noticeable increase of asshattery with the recent influx. Also, only real money players can chat with the online pros now due to the increase in traffic.

PokerChamps: Just out of curiosity, has anyone EVER been on the receiving end of a civil word at this site? I understand that it's associated with that maverick, Gus Hanson, but honestly, every 16 year old, leet speaking boy on the planet with internet access seems to hang out there. It's kind of hard on the eyes too. Meh.

Absolute Poker: I like playing here. I tend to win and there's always some kind of something to do. My new favorite thing to do is play the .60 sit and go's. I'm trying to work out a problem with customer service regarding a frozen real money tourney I was involved in. I think I'll wait and see how that is resolved before I tease out my feelings about this site.

Jetset Poker: Is there anything not to love about this site? I have more fun there than anywhere else. I love their look, I love the games and tourneys, I love the Go Points, the players are mostly groovy, and the customer support is like Johnny-on-the-spot. I win alot there too. It's like my big, old lucky Upgrade for now.

So what's happening where you play?

Paradise poker: Still for the me the best quality site on the net, although traffic is nothing compared to the big boys (avgs 7/8k on peak). They have an enormous choice of MTT and STT. The cash games also are excellent, and i'm sure i don;t need to mention a certain million dollar freeroll plus their running the 3rd masters. Not much left to say except keep up the good work and maybe improve the support team a bit more.

Poker.com: Recent software upgrade has left the software looking better, but running like crap. Connection issues, even when, according to their meter, the connection was excellent. Software committed the cardinal sin the other night. I had a good hand. I bet within a couple of seconds of it being my turn... Button disappeared... Software sat there for the time limit, then folded my cards.

Have 40 cents there. Unless they sort their problems out, I guess it's gone. (Want to get it to a dollar to get into an SNG).

Was a big fan of the site due to the speed their freerolls get done in, and due to the top 100 players placing in the money, but I've not had any luck even having the software work right since the upgrade. (And that's on multiple machines.)

Crazy poker/RV: Great site, tons of players, very reliable cashouts, very friendly customer support

Pokerhost: Customer support makes false statements and the staff will all tell you a different answer to the same question. Horrible cash out requirements. VERY glitchy software that freezes multiple times a day and can cost you money. Overall a HORRIBLE site to play at in my opinion, its like playing at a casino run by crooks only interested in milking you for all you're worth.

You know, I've been playing at Poker Host for the past couple of weeks, and have been pretty happy playing there, BUT, I am beginning to notice the same things happening. Especially today, when the server froze up so many times during play that I lost count. I have a few scenarios that are too long and drawn out to put down here that have happened to me, but reading your post Crippler, you are just about spot on! Especially about the disconnect problems....however, I have won a lot of money there as of late (for me, anyway) so I am pacified (for now), but I do plan on transferring my money to other sites that I really enjoy. Namely Paradise and Noble.

Yeah, and if I seem a little bitter, It's because a mistake from one of the staff members cost me a little over $275. Whats worse is that the assistants did nothing to correct this and were extremely rude to me on Live support. I would never trust Pokerhost with anything other than freeroll money.
