| Starting with no money Hi, I lost a few quid a couple of years ago (on party poker and paradise poker) and stopped playing after I permanently went on tilt. Decided to come back gently - if I cant beat 0.05/0.10 games then I shouldn't be playing anyway I have decided that to stop myself tilting (and after reading about that Norwegian girl who allegedly did it) I will deposit NO MONEY EVER . So how can I build up "quickly" into cash games? I am on partypoker now and been placed in a few tournament freerolls - just for cents, but they have no "microlimit" games and the tourneys take ages - 5 hours for a $100. So anyone got any advice/suggestions of other (reputable) sites I can get going on quicker? I don't want to download loads of sites software just to find out - if I can help it. I have seen mention of Doyles Room as having micro money tables with low rakes, do they have decent freeroles too? Will the various sites let you play freeroles without depositing any money? Thanks for any advice. |

| I've recently started something similar, and went down a route that you may or may not want to follow. I played A LOT of play money tourneys on PokerStars, made 600,000 play chips and sold them for $3. Then, although they can be a real pain, I played some of the $0.10 buy-in tournaments. Made a little bit and played some of the lowest stakes cash tables (although not recommended for good BRM) and some of the 9 man $1 buy in SnGs. Started on Friday night and I'm up to $17, so (albeit slowly) it's working for me. |

| If you want to start from Zero find Poker forum like this one and join them and play in there private freeroll games.Or you can do what was posted above this post.If you find a small forum there games will have a low amount off players in them given you a better chance to win some small amout off cash to get you started.Than you can use that cash to play in there buy in events that most have money added to them. This is just one off many ways to start from zero. If you didnt already download allot off sites some off them offer no deposite money for first time players at there site. There are aslo sites that offer $50 off free cash for certain poker rooms if you have not already downloaded that site. I think Pit bull offers a free $10 for new players. Good luck at all your games. |

| Its like youre saying... where can I get some free money easy? And if we all had that answer, we'd probably be doing a lot of that instead of reading or writing on this board. There are no deposit bonuses for sites you have never downloaded. Some of them are invasive. And if you ever played there youre not going to get this bonus. As far as the freerolls go... theres no way but wading through the endless waves of donks and not getting unlucky enough to place in one. Carbon Poker has a sng thing where if you can win two shorthanded (6 man) sngs in a row... and THEN win a full table sng... they'll give you a buck. Sounds easy. I sure thought it was. I have gone through the first two multiple times in the past few days. But to win three consecutive tournaments even against the donkeyest of donkey players is a little more daunting than I expected. Full tilt has these 180 and 360 man sng freerolls constantly (I think its every four minutes) and the blinds are a bingo friendly THREE minutes. Its brutal. I played in about 5 of these in the past few days, placed 7th in one and 2nd in another and went out with pocket aces in both of them to earn a whopping... Zero point zero. If you want to make a bankroll out of nothing its going to take some work, some time, and a lot of patience. Sometimes a reaaaal lot of it. Good luck. |

I did just get a check from Doyle's for my $175 in winnings over the course of a month (almost all freerolls). It only took 1 month to receive the check. I was beginning to worry. I'd still be playing there, but they banned my state. Doyle's also has $0.09 SnGs with $0.01 or $0.02 entry fees. I enjoyed those. By the way, you have to play cash games of at least $0.05/$0.10 to qualify for a raked hand ($0.25 rake is the minimum for the hand to count toward their freerolls). Hope this info helps. |

| Its not as hard as people think it is.Just play in private freerolls hosted by forums like this one. Most forums have good players in them so it wont be a donkey fest.I would stay away from the one at carbon where you have to win 3 in a row for a buck. Its allot harder than you think. If you dont already have a carbon account you can join and they have new player freerolls multiple times a day and you can start a bankroll by winning a few off those. |

| Okay let me tell you how to do because I hav done it many times. I have never deposited any money into any of my accounts in pokerstars, full tilt, or ultimate bet. This is what you do play on the free rolls that card chat host which are very good by the way, if you are good you will fine winning card chat tourney easy then once you get money you play at a real money table. I usually play with 4-5 dollars at a .05/.1 table try to find a table with one or two people no more than 4 because the more people the higher the chances you will get busted. Once you start playing try to collect blinds by raising, if people keep calling just limp in slow play and dont bluff alot i'll say bluff once in every 15 hands. Once you collect one dollar more than what you started with leave the table and do this at a nother table. I have done this technique at full tilt and have a bankroll or around 50 give or take. At pokerstars I built a bankroll of 150 dollars and at ultimate bet around 40 dollars. If you do what i say i'll say you have a good chance of building a nice bankroll. Hopes this helps you. |

| This has been a great question for myself for the past few weeks. I decided however to go the route of actually depositing some every-now-and again, then playing small double stack tournaments. Some of them are only $3 to enter and the payout can be up to $80. I know you might not want to hit up the fulltilt, but that's where it's at. |

| Try the Full Tilt $40 dollar 500k playchip buyin tourneys. They have many higher levels of playchip games to accelerate your accumulation and it's good practice without losing any real money, since many people take the playchip games seriously. the playchip buyin tourney gives the playchips more value and the tourney fields are usualy under 100. |

Folks will suggest a lot of possible poker sites, but it is wise to check each site's withdrawal policies yourself BEFORE you make any decisions. Check the top of CC's front page. There is a tab called 'Poker Site Reviews' - it's worth a read. Do you want to put a month's worth of effort into building a roll you cannot withdraw because you didn't read the site rules? If playing a whopping 5 hours for a payout is "ages" (and you are only getting paid some 'portion' of the $100 prize pool), then I really think you need to re-consider making deposits. There is NO 'get rich quick' scheme in online poker. You need to make an investment of time or cash - or both. (S/he wouldn't understand at snipe at an Absolute superuser account, since he's a returning player from a long break) |

| Some sites will give you money in your account If you make an account with just so you can try out there site.Sometimes they will surprise you wiht some free cash even if you been a member for awhile.Party poker gave me a free $10 2 days ago and managed to get it up to about $130.Like I said in post above its not hard to start a bankroll from 0,it just takes some time and patience. |

Best advice IMHO .^^^^ As for starting with nothing, there's alot of sites that offer you incestives to try out there poker sites without depositing any money at all. I wont name them of but I know from personal expierence some sites will give you 20 in your account others will give you 50, and so forth and so on. Only catch is you must make a ton of points to ever take out your money to begin with. Other that I can't help you |

| bodog has a low rake on theur 5/10 cent (10nl) tables- loose games fulltilt rakes 10% - dont go there pokerstars - 5% and many ,many tables if you pick a site - you HAVE to sign up thru an afiliate site ie pokerlistings or rakeback --- i wish i could start my poker career over and get the complete deposit bonuses or rakeback at each site--- not sure about sites that dont allow us players -depositing and playing while working off the bonus gives you a safety net while you re acclimate - if u still are adament about not depositing then choose a smaller site like bodog- |
