| re: Stars 5 billionth hand promo poker I read more on the details of it. You have to be at a ring table. The players in the hand dealt gets $2,000 each! The winner of the hand gets $5,000! Even if you lose, you win! I have a feeling I'll be back at the Pokerstars ring tables very soon. |

| Actually, That is just for the milestone hands which is every 5,000,000th hand. The 5,000,000,000th hand gets: Every player who's dealt cards in our 5 billionth hand in a cash ring game wins $10,000 and entry to the WCOOP main event. The winner of the main pot wins $50,000 and entry into the WCOOP main event. Guess I had better put some money back in that site. |

| They were approaching hand # 4.93 billion, which was supposed to be the first milestone hand, last night. I stayed up trying to reach it, but i just got too tired, and eventually gave up and went to sleep. So anyway, this morning i was curious, so i logged onto stars, and requested the hand history for hand #4.93 billion, so so i could hate myself if it was on a micro limit table. turnes out it was at a 3/6 dollar table, but i thought i'd share this hand anyway, as i thought it was a little weird. if you'd just won 2k, and would win 5k if you won the hand, wouldn't you at least see a flop? perhaps they just didn't notice. so let this be a lesson to you, watch the hand counter. -n PokerStars Game #4930000000: Hold'em Limit ($3/$6) - 2006/05/14 - 06:03:07 (ET) Table 'Fama II' 6-max Seat #1 is the button Seat 1: zippo44 ($215 in chips) Seat 2: jkopp984 ($65 in chips) Seat 3: LakersGTD ($314 in chips) Seat 4: Golden_sun ($188 in chips) Seat 5: tn1753 ($137 in chips) Seat 6: Railbird ($109 in chips) jkopp984: posts small blind $1 LakersGTD: posts big blind $3 *** HOLE CARDS *** Golden_sun: raises $3 to $6 tn1753: folds Railbird: folds zippo44: folds jkopp984: folds LakersGTD: folds Golden_sun collected $7 from pot Golden_sun: doesn't show hand *** SUMMARY *** Total pot $7 | Rake $0 Seat 1: zippo44 (button) folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 2: jkopp984 (small blind) folded before Flop Seat 3: LakersGTD (big blind) folded before Flop Seat 4: Golden_sun collected ($7) Seat 5: tn1753 folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 6: Railbird folded before Flop (didn't bet) |

b) He's been dealt a really good hand, and has got a lousy poker face. c) He's been dealt in to one of the 33 "Milestone" hands that this thread is about and has therefore won $2,000. I dont think it's a) - the key presses would be a lot more random than that. Probably not b). Even if he cant control his emotions when he gets a good hand, surely he can avoid typing OMG for 20 seconds. Which leads me to suggest, possibly c)? |
