Skypoker

Hi all.

Just interested to know if any of you guys have been playing at Skypoker, part of the Sky TV group???

The thing that is interesting is that the games are "televised" - in effect they show the online poker table on the TV with the analysts standing at the table - it looks good

Thoughts guys???

Yes, m8.

I have an account at Skypoker, but I have only played a couple of sessions.

There are a lot of tasty fish, on account of the TV influence, but I don`t like the interface at all and the blind structure in MTTs is insane, in order to generate action for the TV producers.

I havent heard of it either but if its up and running i might as well join in because i already use them for tv telephone and internet. Just one more way of helping them acquire world dominance i suppose.

Edit: Here is the link for their sportsbook section.............skybet

the RNG on SkyPoker is shit... i make an account, do well then as soon as i take a bit of money out i start losing with the second nuts to the nuts, never make my flushes or straights, when my opponents move all in with flush or straight draws they always hit them, my pocket pairs always lose exept for aces because i havnt got them since i cashed out. loads of 2 outers against me

Skypoker Bump - I want to hear other people's views of Skypoker.com if they've tried it.

Sky have been actively promoting their site around the web (and on TV) so I'd like to know what community members here think of the site.

P.S. Skypoker does not accept US players.

wahay i play skypoker quite a bit, i was on tv aswell skillfully folding junk utg preflop, ok so the focus of the hand wasnt about me but i was still on. I only really play the slowboat tourny and the open sometimes, but its all too quick for me hence why i prefer the slowboat. Their cash games are poor though

i went on skypoker again recently and either i was on a bad run or they have changed their RNG but i still don't really like it and don't advise it to be your number 1 site, but its fun to play on it sometimes

Ive tried sky poker twice - once when it began and again a couple of months ago.

The software is horrible, the play is insane and as for the tourneys, mad mad blinds.

3/10 probably just for the fish that are on there,

The program (apart from not being a patch on Poker Night Live) is too painful to watch and i dont even think of watching anymore.

Its a shame as it could be so so much better and would be a great poker bonus for UK poker - but alas, its not

It's awful. I stuck a few quid on it to play one of the TV tournaments.

Insane blind structure and some really bad players at Skypoker.com. I found it really unstable as well.

That's Rupert Murdoch for you

It's not a neat site. The poker games run in a browser window, and if you have other tournies running at other poker sites at the same time it just sits at the back and marks you as absent without telling you, no warning noises or flashing taskbar

After missing various freerolls that I had signed up for I stopped bothering...
