Yes, SnG's are good. Suggest where ever it is you play, that you get familiar with the SnG fundamentals playing with play money. You don't have to spend a real long time doing it, but at the higher buy-in play money games you will run across a game that is remarkably similar to the micro SnG buy in games.

Pretty straight forward tactics for single table SnG's. Play tight, solid poker and you can cash consistently with a few wins mixed in. If your running really good you can win four out of ten of these things.

if you play 10-10+1 = 110$ , win4 "avg2nd place" 30$ win/120$ + -110$ entry fees you end up with +10$ !! not to good for about 10 hrs of play

Don't worry it's not all that bad, prob have to come in the money,1,2or 3rd at least 6 times. It's tough to make $'s in the lo limit tourns. The 20& 30 tourns seem to be better to make any $'s

Your math is wrong. If you win 4 you'll win somewhere around $150 (not $120) and if you finish in the $$ in a few others of the 10 you'll be doing great.

Thanks HillBilly. That was the point I was trying to make although I may not have conveyed it as well as you did. If you win four out of ten of these things you are waaaaaay ahead.

Sure, your gonna have bad runs from time to time. Nothing you can do about that but if everything breaks even your gonna be in good shape.

I was figuring 4@ 2nd place 30$ win/ 120$-- 1st =50%, 2nd=30%, 3rd= 20% so10 games cost 110$--11$/game

The point is yes, they are profitable, but only with good play. Read the suggested articles in the articles section, and take a peek at the golden archives; you should find some helpful info there.

Its not necesarily the type of game, but rather whats best for you. IMO, whichever type you have to adjust how you currently play to fit best would be the best for you.
