Silly question: How do we cash out if a site pulls the plug?

Jetset went under last night at midnight according to their website, and I had some cash there. Do y'all know how to cash out in this instance?

Thanks in advance!

You should try contacting support via e-mail. Try something simple like support@jetsetpoker.com and see if that works or gets bounced. Explain the situation to them and request your money. It should be fairly straight forward as long as they didn't simply fire everyone. But then again, they will likely be bombarded with requests, so allow enough time for them to respond.

Also, if you still have any e-mails from when you signed up, that should have an e-mail address you can use for support.

Holly! Good to see you stranger!

In most (if not all) cases, players have a deadline in which to withdraw their funds. I had seen the email from another member...did they actually go completely belly-up, or just ban US players?

They totally shut it down. Poker client server, website, and all. Hopefully the e-mail servers are still running.

I sent an email to support. I'll let y'all know if I hear anything, in case any other folks are in the same boat with Jetset.

Now, I'm off to find a site that still lets us poor, beleaguered Yanks play!

They've not made any reference to cashing out on their website, so I imagine they are just going to hope the majority of clients wont bother trying to get their money back - they could of course automatically refund everyone's account couldn't they?

Is this the first established site to pack up? I cant imagine it will be the last - it's OK for the site management to say they are going ahead, but if the bank that processes the payments (and presumably is ultimately liable under the legislation) pulls out, there is nothing the site can do.

I copied and pasted this off their webpage:

Dear Valued JetSetPoker Customer:

We deeply regret to convey that we shall be discontinuing service at JetSetPoker (the "Site") effective Midnight EST on Friday, October 13, 2006.

Initially, and as per our previous statement, we were cautiously optimistic in maintaining operations for our membership after the passage of the "SAFE Port Act HR 4954" on September 30, 2006 by the U.S. Senate. We nonetheless initially believed it to be practicable.

However, given the developments during the preceding week, including but not limited to, the unfavorable view of payment processors and financial institutions regarding online gambling and the extensive advice of our legal counsel, we have been instructed to cease activities and comply with this prohibitionist legislation.

We were fortunate to have a first-rate membership and it was our pleasure to provide a destination site where members were able to enjoy their favorite card games and tournaments with the surety that we were to buttress the integrity of the forum. In this inclement environment however we believe our ability to do so may become impaired nor do we anticipate this matter to improve in the near future.

We once again thank you for your patronage of JetSetPoker and deeply regret these unfortunate circumstances that have materially and adversely impacted both the Site and the industry.

Best regards,
JetSetPoker Management Team

CRAP IT AND MORE CHOICE CUSS WORDS that aren't proper for a family oriented site!

That's what I get for galavanting around with my husband for 3 days. I didn't get an email or a notice when I logged in Thursday morning or anything. The just friggin pulled the plug.
I'm going to try the link that DM posted (thank you btw) I hope it works. It was my only BR left connected to Neteller!
