The river call turned out to be a good one, but WTF was he doing in the pot with all that PF action, especially raising then calling a reraise of that to see a flop? Must have been some read he had on the guy, otherwise talk about overplaying a small suited connector.

He got raised, big deal HU, he reraised with suited connectors, got raised and called. its suited connectors HU. They all play like that |

Well that makes them maniacs with money to burn then, I suppose. But that's my opinion. It could have been 400 NL and I'd still say that play with 7d6d was way overvalued, even for heads-up play. His first raise may be reasonable as he will be OOP the rest of the hand. But the huge push back is where I begin having issues with it, I guess.

I see what your saying. But if your playing HU(theyre ALL maniacs) and your oppen. is raising everyhand preflop, gotta pop back and fight back. He made a move like tehy always do, got reraised and had odds to call with SCs.

Good point...I looked back at the numbers and agree that he would have the odds to call. I think I miscalculated the pot the first go around. A small SC like that is like 35-40% to win, so yeah, that last re-raise wasn't enough to take his odds away. He was getting like 2.6+ to 1 on his money with odds being no worse than 2 to 1 against.

re: SFPWNED! Was watching the 'big' game on stars. poker LOL, I must be a donk, because if I'm Hold_emNL, I am definitely betting something out at the pot on the flop to find out where I am. Middle pair and gut shot, plus given all the PF action, I'd put my villain on a higher range (like the KQ or better) but not a high pair (because I think he might have just pushed PF or re-raised it more). Middle pair on the flop with a draw is a big hand in Heads Up.
