| Setting up a home tourney Hi there, i've been playing poker for about 6 months now and have decided to invite my mates round for a few games of texas holdem NL tournament. There'll be about 10 playing and i have a 500 chipset consisting of 150 x1 ,150 x5 ,100 x10 ,50x 50 ,50x 100 .If i divide the lot between 10 it works out at 940 each. Can any1 suggest the initial chip layout per player and how much to start the blinds at? I think i was going to rise the blinds every 10 min. Cheers Gaz |

| Using the standard 1000 chip starting stack is a good way to go; I sometimes give both whites and reds value of 5 so as to make up for any shortage of chips. Blind structure should be something like this with 1000-chip starting stack: 5/10 10/20 20/40 30/60 40/80 50/100 75/150 100/200 200/400 etc etc if you want a quicker (luck>skill) game then you can skip some steps like 40/80 or 75/150. Pokerroom has just about the nerdiest way of conducting a home game: http://www.pokerroom.com/main/page/p...dies/organizer but it's pretty useful. |
