Serious issues with Carbon and Walker Poker? For some reason, when I'm on Carbon and Walker poker (both the same, basically) it keeps hanging up and then sits me out. What could be the problem here? I just installed an update on both.

I play free rolls at Carbon & Walker every week. The only problems I have encountered are at Walker. They will often cancel tourney's for some reason. They have made it up to the players by having a larger free roll ( $750 instead of $250 ) This tells me they are having site/software/hardware difficulties, but Carbon has allways been steady. I do have connection problems at some sites on occasion, and usually need to reboot the computer, and reconnect. This works 99% of the time. You might also try closing everything on the computer except the game, and always go into or start a game with a fresh boot so little else is running in the background.

re: Serious issues with Carbon and Walker Poker? Yeah, KC, I knew that. But I only had one open at a time And I didn't have any problems with either before the updates. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling on both sites, but that didn't help either. I don't know.

This happens to me all the time at Merge sites. If I only have that site open, which is almost never, it runs ok. But if trying to do too many other things, it gets very slow and I end up sitting out. As Cowboy said, I just assume it is because my computer is very nearly a museum piece!

Me too! I used to play at Carbon regularly because I enjoyed all the different FRs. Also, I played at all the CC FRs there as well, with hardly any problems. But now, especially after they installed the new upgrades, I get sat out regularly----and also I get notices saying....'You're running slowly' and are going to get disconected! Now, this all just started happening AFTER the up-grades. Think there's a connection? AND, I TOO have an $80 computor w/Windows ME and a celeron processer----It's prolly just TOOOO old, like me!

It used to unclick this itself when slow, maybe it doesn't do it anymore after the upgrade, unsure... |

Okay, just noticed something. I opened bodog for the tourney today and checked my system resources and they were hovering around 4%. Then, I opened Walker and shut down bodog and they skyrocketed to almost 50%! What could be causing this? Anyone?

I haven't tried Walker or Carbon yet, but I think I fixed it. My bodog game was also messing up during the tourney, but I updated the firmware for my router and all was well after that. Of course, I got all that done just in time to play my last 140 chips, but oh well.

Thanks Ik, I'll check those settings! As for the trashman as a computer supplier ... That's where I got this one! And thanks for the tip on the site, Cowboy. Maybe they have some older model memory chips. Sure wouldn't hurt! How many sites in the network? Supporting the gazillion poker fora of which I m a member, now have 10 sites installed! Was it Poker.com that started the network? It's the first one I joined anyway.
